Genshin Impact is a massive game with a lot of different mechanics and materials players can utilize. And it can be quite confusing and daunting for newcomers to the title. Luckily, Resin is one of the easier materials in the game, and even though it lets you use it in a lot of different ways, it is not that hard to understand the various uses of the material.
But to make your life easier, in this guide, we will list the various ways you can use Resin in Genshin Impact.
The Best Ways You Can Use Resin in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is a game that is constantly changing and growing. So the developers add and modify the uses of the materials with almost every update. However, resource management is still a crucial aspect of the game, and you must be smart on how you utilize your Resin. So, with that in mind, let’s look at the best ways to use your Resin in Genshin Impact.
World Bosses and Farming Ley Line
If you are a newcomer to the title and are under level 20, then this will be one of the most optimal ways of using your Resins. The first thing that you have to keep in mind is that the early stages in Genshin Impact are for building your character and understanding how the game works.
So, we recommend that you use the Resin against the World Bosses in the early game, since they are important in the progression of your characters. Other than that, you might run out of experience books in Genshin, so in that scenario, you can use Resin to farm some Ley Lines.
Weapon Ascension
The Weapon Ascension domain will be unlocked after you reach level 20. When it does, you will be able to use your Resin in that domain. Keep in mind that at this point in the game, you probably won’t have access to Condensed Resin, so the original Resin will be the best option. However, you should still keep an eye out for new domains to unlock.
Talent Domains
Since we have covered the Weapon Ascension, let’s now talk about the Character Talent Domains. It is a good option to use your Resins there until you hit level 50. Additionally, we suggest that you keep investing your Resin in your Character Domain as you will be able to unlock higher tiers the more you progress. So, keep upgrading your characters and going on World Bosses and Leyline runs to go get all of the necessary materials.
Artifact Domains
Once you reach level 45, all of the domains will be unlocked, and you will be able to do whatever you wish with your Resin. So it is the best time to raise your AR levels. As we discussed, you can start with the original Resin, but at this point in the game, you really should be shifting your focus to unlocking the Condensed Resin because it will double your domain rewards. Since you will be focusing on Artifact Farming, you should always keep an eye out for all of the necessary materials, not just for this domain, but for all of the others as well.
Weekly Bosses
When you feel like you are ready, you should start focusing on the Weekly Boss domain. First, you will need to clear some limited-time Trounce Challenges. If you have any trouble with these challenges, then we suggest that you ask another player to help you out. After reaching AR 45, don’t forget to use all of the 200 Resin at least once a week. Additionally, the bosses will need 60 original Resin for rewards, but luckily, the Resin consumption will be reduced for the first three bosses.
Spend Your Fragile Resin Wisely
Fragile Resin is one of the rarest materials in the game. You will get some of it in the early game, but it will be quite hard to find more after that. So we highly advise against using your Fragile Resin early on World Bosses or Leyline Outcrops. It is the most common mistake new Genshin Impact players make, and we hope for you to avoid it because if you don’t, you might run out of Resin to use in the Artifact Domains in the later stages. It is highly recommended that you try to always condense your Resin, and the only exception to this is World Bosses or Leyline Overflow events.
