Fishing is a cozy activity in Throne and Liberty through which players can get valuable resources. These are utilized for different purposes in-game, including cooking. To get started, you must have Fishing Bait in your inventory. Like in other MMO games, you can use the materials you fish to complete several quests and the fish to make different recipes.

What is Fishing Bait in Throne and Liberty?

Throne and Liberty offers several different types of Fishing Baits, so you can capture different rarities of fish. Some are easily available, while others not so much. Here are the Fishing Baits available in Throne and Liberty:

  • Paste Bait
  • Worm Bait
  • Shrimp Bait
  • Fillet Fish Bait

The Paste Bait is a beginner bait that you can obtain easily, but the most effective one is Fillet Fish Bait, which attracts some rare fishes. You can purchase Fishing Bait from the Contract Coin Merchant, or you can get them by defeating monsters near water bodies, depending on the rarity of the Bait. You should also get a Bait Hook to attach the bait. Then, your next step would be to obtain a Fishing Rod. Different Rods are used in different scenarios of the game, so make sure to equip the right one.

Paste Bait

You can buy one Fishing Bait Chest per day from the Contract Coin Merchant. It costs 20 Contract Coins and grants you 50 Paste Bait.

The other way to get Paste Bait is to purchase them using your Ornate Coins. You can get these in the mail or by finding the pages scattered in and around the map. If you have plenty of Ornate Coins already, you will be able to see them on the top of your screen. Spend them in the in-game shop.

Each Fishing Bait Chest costs 15 Ornate Coins. You can purchase a total of 100 of these per month. Do note that Paste Bait will not help you net rare fishes.

Worm Bait

  • Taion Moray Eel
  • Amberjack

The drop rate of Worm Bait is regular, and you can get a hand on them quite easily. However, you cannot buy it from a store or a merchant.
