Aridus is a guild boss that players face in Throne and Liberty, and this big Elder can really hinder your fun time with the guild if you don’t know how to tackle it. You will encounter it on the fifth floor of the Syleus Abyss. Try to visit the dungeon before sunset because it closes at nighttime. That said, a Guild Summon Stone will teleport you and your friends behind the closed doors at any time of the day without fail. If your guild is at or above Level 17, you can raid the boss through the Guild Hall as well.

Aridus is a Level 50 boss. So, make sure to bring the members who have already reached that Level. This will allow you to finish the battle with ease.

Watch Out for These Attacks and Patterns

Right away, you will notice Aridus selecting three random players to mark with a green light. Three wasps will follow each of these players. Don’t kill the creatures as they will prove important later, and we will explain why. For now, focus on dealing with the ranged attack that Aridus will inflict on you. The goo only deals slight damage, and you can rely on your Healer(s) to help you get through it.

Aridus releases a line of Green Gas, and then a cone of the same. The cone in question is not that wide and can be avoided with some effort on your end. The boss doesn’t target anybody before this attack, but watch out if the animation looks like it is opening up a portal. Clear the way immediately because some severe damage is coming your way.

If neither you nor the boss are able to kill each other, the Aridus guild boss will charge up and release a ring-shaped attack in the outer circle of the arena. If your guild members don’t pile up in the center, those on the outskirts will face major damage or even elimination.

Lastly, the Venomous Elder casts a Sleep magic on everyone. Three random allies who are getting attacked by the wasps wake up first due to the small damage it deals. Ask the three members being chased to walk past the sleeping members, so you can also wake them up with the help of the wasp’s AoE. The wasps spawn again after they get killed at the end of this phase. This is to help you when the next sleep cycle comes in.
