Relax. You are not the only one trying to figure out the path to completing the Unidentified Contaminant quest in Throne and Liberty. The exploration quest has left several fellow gamers scratching their heads as they try to complete the final objective.
If you wish to make your experience smoother, then this step-by-step guide will help you.
For those who like to visit shorelines, in video games or otherwise, this one is going to be a journey to remember because the quest takes place in Windhill Shores.
Embarking on a Journey to Identify the Unidentified Contaminant
The Windhill Shores Researcher will give you the said quest. It is relatively easy, so you don’t have to have a high-level character. But, be combat-ready regardless.
First Conversation With the Researcher
Visit Spiral Cliff and walk up to the quest marker to find the quest-giver. In this case, you will find the Windhill Shores Researcher, who will be eager to talk to your character. You will agree to volunteer to help the researcher study the contaminated beings.
Grab the Potion
Pick up the Magical Reagent on the shelf, which will most likely be to your left. You will have one minute’s time to complete the next step.
Make a Run for It
Turn towards the blue marker on the map and use the Glide Morph. Float down from the vantage point towards the three wooden platforms you see. Don’t bother about getting to each one of them. Rather, slow down and stand on the largest one you find. Interact with the Unidentified Contaminant, with the Magical Reagent that you picked up less than a minute ago in possession.
Here Comes the Boss Fight
You have to defeat a Large Stone Crab as the last step of this quest. Sounds easy? Well, it is not quite. These common enemies near the Windhill Shores are used as bait, but you have to ensure that they are Wet when they die.
If it’s raining, then you have hit the jackpot because the crabs will retain the Wet status effect. Otherwise, you have to lure them into the water nearby and come back to the land to kill them while they are still Wet.
