The lead pipe is another weapon that falls under the blunt category. This weapon may be slow compared to the swinging speed of the baseball bat, but it packs a lot more durability. This weapon is one of the more commonly found tools, found in garages and abandoned vehicles.
The pipe, having up to nine hits before being left in shambles, can easily take down two enemies or stagger a few to help you flee and live to see another day. With the right attachments, you can further increase its durability to a massive 12 hits, making it the most durable weapon among the others.
3. Hatchet
The hatchet easily can be considered a top-tier weapon. The weapon inflicts some impressive damage and eliminates its enemies in a single hit without being locked behind any conditions. You take a swing at any clicker or enemy except the bloater and can consider it an instant kill.
The only place this otherwise overpowered weapon falls flat is in the durability it holds. It also has a comparatively slower swing, giving the enemies an extra bit of time to inflict some damage before you ultimately strike at them. If these shortcomings are looked past, this is one beast of a weapon to take to the park.
2. Machete
The machete is a longer version of a knife. The machete, similar to the hatchet, can deal instant kills with a simple swing. It holds a good amount of health. It can take up to six or a couple more hits before falling prey to its own strength.
The machete is the rarest melee weapon in the game, making any encounter with it a must-grab situation. Not only does this weapon have high damage, but it also has a quicker swing speed compared to the hatchet. When upgraded, this weapon proves to be an absolute unit with increased durability.

The first spot will gracefully be handed over to the pickaxe. One of the most dependable weapons in the game. Pickaxes are one-hit kills and hold a prolonged durability. Not only can the pickaxe instantly kill the immediate foes, but it can also stagger armored enemies as well.
The pickaxe may be a tad slow at swinging due to its weight, but it easily compensates with its raw power. The pickaxe is easily a force to be reckoned with and can be further enhanced with upgrades, making it even more monstrous.
