YouTuber and Twitch streamer Lily “LilyPichu” Ki made an X post on January 9, 2025, saying that she evacuated her house with her dog and passport. The streamer is affected by the ongoing Los Angeles wildfire, which started on January 8, 2025.

Over 70,000 people from Los Angeles evacuated the city, and many citizens are in emergency shelters. A fire broke out in the city’s Pacific Palisades area, and authorities are working to bring the situation under control.

Shortly after her post, she claimed that she spotted individuals looting belongings amidst the evacuation. The streamer also wished for the safety of everyone affected by the fire in a recent tweet.

LilyPichu Updates Fans on the Ongoing California Wildfires

In one of LilyPichu’s recent tweets, the content creator said:

“The fire is insane. I’ve evacuated and could only grab my dogs and passport. This is truly frightening and I hope everyone stays safe out there.”

A couple of hours after her initial tweet, Lily posted another update saying:

“Holy sh*t imagine looting while people are evacuating for their lives. F*ck.”

It is unclear if Lily was talking about her belongings being looted or someone else’s. An X user responded to her tweet, saying:

“I guess it’s hard to imagine if you’re a really really rich Twitch streamer who would never need to steal anything,” said X user @ponguso.

Lily replied to the person and said:

“Lol… I understand why people would want to loot. And I simultaneously understand why I’m upset people would loot my stuff.”

It has been over 24 hours since the fire broke out, and government officials are trying to suppress the fire. News reports state that over 2,000 buildings were destroyed by the fire, and five people reportedly died.

Other Content Creators Update Viewers About the Wildfire

LilyPichu is not the only content creator affected by the fire. Political commentator and Twitch streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker is also from Los Angeles. He said in an update that he was not in the evacuation zone and was still safe from the fire. He streamed with One True King’s Will Neff on January 9, 2025.

Other streamers in Los Angeles have not been as lucky as Hasan. Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek was hosting a month-long subathon, and he had to pause the event. Shroud partnered with other creators and hired a production crew to manage the event, but to ensure their safety amidst the fire, he will take a break from the subathon until the situation normalizes.
