What Are The Best Starfield Traits – Full List

Starfield traits give your character personality, so we present the full list of perks and the guide to help you decide the best for you!

Traits in Starfield

Traits in Starfield are one of the customization options in Character Creation. Players can select up to three attributes from a wide list of Traits to further shape their protagonists. There are 17 traits in Starfield players can choose from. Each trait provides unique advantages and disadvantages; thus, traits are optional. Some are connected to roleplaying aspects and your character personality, and others can add discounts in specific shops or give you extra health for combat.

What Are The Best Traits In Starfield?

The best traits are those that give your character extra combat performance, roleplaying aspects or bonuses that help you earn more credits. It all depends on what is the most important game aspect for you. Luckily, you can pick up to three traits, mix some traits, and optimise your character in more than one direction.

For example, with the “Kid Stuff” trait, your character can visit their alive parents, and 2% of all the money players earn will be deducted and sent to the parents. This opens possible dialogue options and even special quests or events in-game. If you value a personal space or have a background story for your character, you can pick the Dream Home trait, own a small house, and pay a mortgage to pay that off.

If you would like gameplay and statistics bonuses, you can pick the “Spaced” trait that increases your health and endurance in space. The Serpent’s Embrace will give you similar bonuses, but the boost is temporary after grav jumps. Those two are probably the best and most useful combat traits, especially for those who want to play as space pirates or like ship combat.

However, remember that those bonuses are great but not essential or game-breaking. So pick whatever you like and fits your character. With so many traits and backgrounds to choose from, Starfield offers huge replayability!
