Ceremonial Weapons are weapons found in the Find the Blood of Lathander quest that takes place in the Rosymorn Monastery in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Monastery holds 4 ceremonial weapons, 3 of which are missing. There four include the Ceremonial Longsword, the Ceremonial Battle Axe, the Ceremonial Mace and the Ceremonial Warhammer.
How to Find the Stained Glass Puzzle
The monastery can be accessed once you’ve completed the wilderness part of the story. Follow these steps:
- Make your way to the Mountain Pass. This area is best suited for players at level 5 and above, so we highly recommend tackling side objectives to reach the threshold before you proceed.
- From here, head north towards the Rosymorn Monastery. You can either walk or get there using a cable lift, which requires a strength check.
- Navigate the monastery grounds and defeat the kobolds. Go around the edges and parkour up the cliff to reach the second floor.
- Pass through the ornate chamber, and you will reach the Stained-Glass puzzle.
How Do You Solve the Stained Glass Puzzle?
Make your way to the pedestal and interact with it to trigger a cutscene. The cutscene will show you the layout of the puzzle and will show the missing pieces you need to obtain. From here on, your task is to find these missing Ceremonial Weapons, last seen with the Monastery leaders and bring them back to the altar. Place these weapons on their respective slots on the altar to complete the puzzle and pass through.
How To Get The Ceremonial Weapon Locations In Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Ceremonial weapons required to complete the Stained-Glass puzzle are scattered in and around the Rosymorn Monastery. To find these weapons, follow the steps below:
Battle Axe
- First, jump out the east window in the puzzle room and make your way across the balcony. Subsequently, parkour over the roots, and you will find yourself in front of another window.
- Inside the chamber, the Guardian of Faith guards the weapon you need. Defeat him to claim the first weapon.
- Head back to the puzzle room.
Warhammer
- From the puzzle room, make your way across the main hall and head outdoors. Near the dilapidated stairs, you’ll find vines hanging from the roof. Climb them to head up.
- Cross the roof to find Ancient Giant Eagles guarding the weapon.
- Defeat the enemies to claim the second piece of the puzzle.
Mace
- Walk near the edge of the roof and climb down the vines.
- Opposite to the vines is a door. Walk out the door and down the stairs to exit the building from the southeast corner.
- The building exits to the bottom of a hill. Explore the hill to find the grave of a Monastery leader.
- Finally, dig the grave and claim the last weapon.
Baldur’s Gate 3: What to Do with Ceremonial Weapons
With all the weapons, head back to the Stained Glass puzzle room. Place the weapons in the correct slots to solve the puzzle. The Battle Axe goes on the Southwest pedestal, the Warhammer on the Northeast pedestal, and the Mace goes on the Southeast pedestal. This unlocks a recess in the chamber and allows you to progress in your quest.
