Overview of Underground Match in WWE 2K25
One of the differentiating features of the Underground match in WWE 2K25 is that there are no ropes. Thus, the fighting area consists of a black mat surrounded by corner poles. Additionally, these corner poles do not have cushion support. So, they can be used to give a hefty blow to your opponent.
Since there are no ropes in an Underground match, you can easily throw your opponents out of the ring. However, some rope-based moves, like top rope jumps, rope-hung, and springboard moves, cannot be performed. Additionally, during an Underground match, the ring is surrounded by NPCs, transforming the fighting arena into a rugged environment. However, they do not interfere with the fight.
How To Win an Underground Fight
The rules for winning an underground fight are different. You can only win an underground fight by a knockout, disqualification, or submission. Here are the details for these:
- Winning by knockout: To secure a victory by knockout, you need to deal severe blows to your opponent. Once their health bar is empty, hit them with your signature or finisher move to send them into the danger zone. You will know if your opponent is in a danger zone when their health bar indicates danger. Now, one finisher move is all you need to win by knockout. However, if your opponent manages to block your move, the danger zone status will end.
- Winning by disqualification: If a player hits with a restricted item or move, they will get disqualified. For instance, if you give a low blow to your opponent, you will get disqualified, and the opponent wins.
- Winning by submission: If you successfully lock your opponent in a submission hold, a mini-game will begin. Win this mini-game to defeat your opponent by submission in an Underground match in WWE 2K25.
Since you cannot win a match by pinfall in WWE 2K25, there is no need to be inside the ring to win using the other methods mentioned above.
