What is the Meowmere Sword in Palworld?

Before we can understand the relevance of this sword and the collaboration, we need to look at what Meowmere originally is in Terraria.

What is Meowmere in Terraria?

Meowmere is an auto-swinging melee weapon in Terraria. It is not the easiest weapon to come across and had a unique property. Despite being a melee weapon, the Meowmere can fire off rainbow-trailed projectiles shaped like a cat’s head. These are affected by various factors like gravity; and also had piercing and ricochet properties.

The Meowmere Sword in Palworld seems to function the same way, though, with far superior graphics. The sword has a futuristic double-break design, and it has similar SFX and VFX as the original Terraria melee. It also has a cat’s face on the hilt of the sword, adding to the deadly but cute factor.

When you swing the sword, a cat’s head comes out in the form of a projectile with a rainbow trail. A very prominent “meow” is also heard when this projectile launches. Currently, we do not know how deadly it is. From the trailer, we can see that it packs enough power to take out Pals. It even bounces on the ground, staying true to the original ricochet property from Terraria.
