Monster Hunter Wilds Gemma: Character guide

Through trailers and quick glimpses, Monster Hunter Wilds’ Gemma has quickly caught the attention of the community. Our character – the Hunter – is part of the Avis Unit, one of the several small units functioning in The Forbidden Lands. Each of these units has a hunter, a handler, a smithy, and a Palico. Gemma fulfills the role of Avis Unit’s Smithy in Monster Hunter Wilds.

“A smithy with the Research Commission. She’ll take care of all your weapon and armor crafting needs!”

What Is Gemma’s Role in Monster Hunter Wilds Story?

While there’s nothing much known about her and Hunter’s interactions with her, players got to meet her during Open Beta 1 back in October 2024. For now, Capcom has done a good job of keeping any more information under wraps.

Monster Hunter Wilds Gemma: Quests and Other Interactions

Once the game launches, we will get to know more about whether Gemma provides the Hunter with any quests or other special interactions. Given her services as the Avis Unit’s smithy, we will inevitably be making a number of trips to her to forge and upgrade our armor and weapons.

Where To Find Gemma in Monster Hunter Wilds?

In the beginning, Gemma will likely be found in MHW around the forge in the interim camp in Windward Plains. Her exact location will be available once the game launches on February 28, 2025.

Gemma Notes & Trivia

The community believes Gemma is linked to a Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate character – Little Miss Forge, the blacksmith. Both character designs feature blue eyes, blonde hair, a blue hair tie, and protective goggles for their eyes.
