Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in development for quite some time, with the first official announcement trailer premiering on June 6, 2019. It then entered Early Access on Steam on October 6, 2020 where PC and Mac players can jump in game to experience Act 1 of the story. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story and character rich role-playing game developed and published by Larian Studios. As the name suggests it is the third game in the Balder’s Gate series, and the story structure and gameplay mechanics are all based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG system. Consequently, player choices made in the game can have a significant impact on how the story will play out.
Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a robust and varied class system, allowing players a wild array of options when it comes to discovering a playstyle they like. As of this point in early access there are 11 classes available, and later on players are able to specialize their character further by choosing from two or three different sub-classes.
