The Gigantirite is one of the most fantastical creatures in the world of Solisium, and you can hitch a ride on it in Throne and Liberty.
Throne and Liberty has a massive roster for players to explore, with the varying landscapes making for one of the most expansive MMO maps out there. To go with this variety, the game also features a long list of fantastical creatures that perfectly fit within the mystical world of Throne and Liberty. Among these creatures, the Gigantirite, which is a Giant Flying Whale, stands on its own as a truly magnificent being.
The best part about the Gigantirite is that it’s not just a creature soaring high in the sky for the visuals. You can actually take a ride on the Gigantirite’s back and fly high with it. We break down how you can hitch a ride with the Gigantirite and get one of the best views in Throne and Liberty.
How Can You Ride The Gigantirite In Throne and Liberty?
Since the Gigantirite flies way above Solisium in the game and never lands, it might seem like a daunting thought to jump on the giant flying whale’s back. However, it is entirely possible. To do so, climb to the top of the tall tower of the Starlight Observatory Ruins.
As soon as the Gigantirite gets close enough, jump off the tower and glide to land on its back. With that, you have successfully completed the simple process of hitching a ride with the Giant Flying Whale of Solisium. But when does the Gigantirite spawn in the game?
It is quite difficult to miss out when the Gigantirite spawns in the game as all players in a server are notified of its arrival through a message. The Gigantirite appears every three hours, so keep a lookout for his message. In addition to all this, riding the Gigantirite will also count toward completing the “Little Friend in the Sky” quest from the Exploration Codex.

“Little Friend in the Sky” Exploration Codex In Throne and Liberty
The ‘Little Friend in The Sky’ is an Exploration Codex quest in Throne and Liberty that requires you to get on Gigantirite’s back for ride. This quest will become available at the Starlight Observatory Ruins, east of the starting city of Kasleton.
However, you can’t just jump on the fly whale’s back whenever you want. You’ll have to check the event schedule to find the next time that Gigantirite will be appearing in Solisium. Shortly before that time arrives, travel to the Starlight Observatory Ruins and use the grapple points to reach one of the high points. The flying while will appear and it doesn’t move too quickly. Therefore, you will have plenty of time to see its approach.
Ideally, you should try to wait for a point when Gigantirite or one of its fins dips a bit below your position. Then, jump and transform into your Glide Morph form. Ascend if you need some extra height, and do your best to land on the whale’s back or one of its fins.
Finally, Gigantirite will usually circle around the Starlight Observatory Ruins. Therefore if you miss getting on its back the first time, you may have time to quickly grapple up and tray again. Don’t give up!
