It’s been six weeks since the big Starfield Direct livestream in June, but now Bethesda Breaks Silence on Starfield With Animated Trailers!
Following the informative and fascinating Starfield Direct livestream back in mid-June, Bethesda Softworks has been fairly silent on news of their upcoming, highly anticipated RPG game. The livestream was considered a success by most, with many fans impressed by what they saw and excited for the game’s release on September 6, 2023. Developers have been fairly silent since then, however, and some have begun to speculate on the lack of marketing driving any hype as the game gets closer to launch. Bethesda Softworks surprised fans today by posting a unexpected batch of animated episodes based on Starfield!
Starfield Direct
Starfield is a new Bethesda open-world RPG game where players have the freedom to travel in space, visit over 1,000 planets and moons as they search for alien artifacts, collect resources, upgrade starships, build outposts and more. Called the equivalent of ‘Skyrim in Space’ by many, this massive game have been in development for years and developers Bethesda Softworks has remained fairly quiet about the game in between small bursts of livestreams or interviews.
The Starfield Direct livestream back in June was their biggest event yet, and gave fans a lot of new information to sift through and analyze. The presentation covered a vast array of different topics from combat, starship building, crafting, companions, romances, and much more. We learned new information about types of weapons, backgrounds and details on constructing your outpost from scratch.
Since then, however, Bethesda had mostly gone quiet again, until today when they dropped three animated trailers to their Youtube channel.
Bethesda Released Animated Trailers
There are three animated trailers which were released. Each feature a different protagonist living and working on a different location. These locations are all major planets and cities from the game world:
- Starfield: The Settled Systems – Supra Et Ultra
- Takes place in the United Colonies capital city of New Atlantis, on the planet of Jemison
- Starfield: The Settled Systems – Where Hope is Built
- Takes place in the Freestar Collective’s capital of Akila City, on the planet of Akila
- Starfield: The Settled Systems – The Hand that Feeds
- Takes place at the pleasure city of Neon, on the planet of Volii Alpha
The release of the game is only a little over a month and a half away, and the short episodic nature of these animated trailers suggests that we will get to see more of these stories over the course of the next few weeks!
