Why Should You Play ESO Magicka Warden PvP Build?

This ESO Magicka Warden PvP Build is ideal for players looking for survivability, sustainability, mobility, group utility, and damage. The Magden play style revolves around crowd control through snares, immobilization, and stuns. This is best played with double frost staff due to a passive giving a 12% damage increase.

Moreover, frost staff makes a great addition to the Warden class due to their chilled status effect bonuses. Due to its passive, the Warden also has a very high critical damage rating. Thus, this build centers on high critical chance and damage to optimize the class to initiate passives and skills.

Warden Class Pros

• Burst – Using Deep Fissure, Meteor, or Dawnbreaker, you can do some of the best burst damage in ESO PvP.
• Utility – You can argue that the Warden is the best PvP healer, offering great buffs and utility.
• Survival – With a high-health meta, the Warden shines with burst healing and healing over time capabilities.

Warden Class Cons

• Buff Cycling – Most of your skills are just for buffs and increased damage requiring constant attention.
• Weak Sustain – Like the Templar, your sustain is weaker than other classes.
• Complex Timing – Timing Deep Fissure, Dizzy Swing, and Dawnbreaker is complex and difficult to pull off.

The Magicka Warden in PvP is a powerful defensive playstyle with high mobility. The best aspect of the build is group utility while maintaining high damage. You can play at medium range as well with powerful burst damage.

Skills

Scribing Skills & Grimoires – ESO Magicka Warden PvP Build

Traveling Knife and Soul Burst are the two best Grimoires (skills) for a Magicka Warden PvP build. Traveling Knife gives you a ranged bleed attack that acts like Rending Slashes but doesn’t require Master Dual Wield to be effective. Moreover, Traveling Knife can be given a stun in the focus script for classes lacking a ranged stun. Soul Burst is a helpful crowd control and buff skill. You can immobilize, pull, or snare targets and get your favorite minor buffs. Below are the suggested combination of Grimoires, focus, signature, and affix scripts:

• Traveling Knife (dual wield) – Bleed or Stun (focus script), Lingering Torment or Assassin’s Misery (signature script), Berserk or Vulnerability (affix script)
• Soul Burst (soul magic) – Immobilize or Pull (focus script), Class Mastery or Hunter’s Snare (signature script), Courage or Expedition (affix script)

Sea-Serpent’s Coil: Obtained through Mythic System click here for lead locations. Used because it’s essentially two five-piece damage sets in one, with nearly zero drawbacks if using Vampire Mist Form.

FLEX OPTIONS

• Balorgh: Burst damage.
• Zoal the Ever-Wakeful: Counter gank.
• Ozezan the Inferno: Great paired with heals over time.
• Scourge Harvest: Good self-healing when playing in melee range.
• Markyn Ring of Majesty: Great all-around defensive and offensive mythic
• Torc of Tonal Constancy: Resource sustain mythic.
• Death Dealer’s Fete: Max stats which equates to good damage if you don’t have better options.
• The Master’s Ice Staff: Drop the mythic and use Master’s Ice Staff on the front bar and complete the 5pc Order’s Wrath.

Gear Sets

Rallying Cr: Great offensive and defensive set that lowers the burst damage you receive and increases your damage and healing.

Order’s Wrath: Great critical chance and critical damage increase.

FLEX OPTIONS

1. Wretched Vitality: Great resource sustain five-piece set that you can proc on your back bar.
2. Mara’s Balm: Best for pure healing and cleansing but the Warden doesn’t lack in that department.
3. Powerful Assault: Great set to add damage to you and your group and the buff stacks with Rallying Cry.
4. Robes of the Hist: Great back bar healing set alternate to Mara’s Balm.
5. War Maiden: Decent spell damage set to the front bar.
6. Snake in the Stars: Counters players using “heal stacking.”
7. Scathing Mage: Good front bar that will help with your damage and healing if playing with staff.
8. Back-Alley Gourmand: Even more critical damage than Order’s Wrath but it only comes in Light armor.

Race

The best race choices for PvP Magicka Warden:

1. Khajiit: best overall due to burst critical damage bonus.
2. Dark Elf: good max stats and weapon and spell damage.
3. Argonian: It’s a powerful defensive tank race all around.

Attributes

You should aim to reach 32,000 health; therefore, we recommend 32 health and 32 magicka attribute split.

Mundus Stone

The best mundus stone is the Atronach for resource sustain. You can use Thief or Apprentice if your damage is low.

Champion Points – ESO Magicka Warden PvP Build

Warfare Constellation Champion Points

Below is a step-by-step method for slotting your champion points in the Warfare tree (blue). We have used the minimum possible to reach 4 slottable selections, all maxed out. If you have more CP, consider taking more in the passives for optimal performance.

Below are recommended Warfare Champion Point selections for the ESO Magicka Warden PvP Build:

Consumables

The best consumables for the Magicka Warden PvP build are Bewitched Sugar Skulls food and Essence of Health tri-stat potions. Bewitched Sugar Skulls give a massive boost to overall stats but sacrifices recovery. If you struggle with recovery, use Orzorga’s Smoked Bear Haunch or cheaper Jewels of Misrule. The essence of health or Tri-stat potions is the best to passively give you a flood of resources and tri-recovery with alchemy medicinal use. Immovability potions are also helpful. Below are our recommended food and potion choices:

• Bewitched Sugar Skulls: Increase Max Health by 4620, Max Stamina and Max Magicka by 4250, and Health Recovery by 462 for 2 hours. Ingredients: Scrib Jelly, Flour, Columbine, Bervez Juice, and Honey.
  • Orzorga’s Smoked Bear Haunch (recovery): Increase Max Health, Health Recovery, and Stamina and Magicka Recovery (effects are scaled based on your level). Ingredients: Red Meat, Tomato, White Cap, Frost Mirriam, and Perfect Roe.
  • Jewels of Misrule (cheap): Increase Stamina and Magicka Recovery and Max Health for 2 hours. Ingredients: Rose, Mint, Lotus, Columbine, and Bervez Juice.
• Essence of Health (tri-stat): Restore 7329 Health, 6618 Magicka, and 6618 Stamina immediately. Grants Major Fortitude, Major Intellect, and Major Endurance, which increase your Health Recovery, Magicka Recovery, and Stamina Recovery by 20% for 31.7 seconds. (effects are scaled based on your level) Ingredients: Bugloss, Columbine, Mountain Flower.
  • Essecene of Immovability: Restores health and stamina and is immune to knockback effects. Ingredients: Namria’s Rot, Columbine, and Mountain Flower.
• Escapist’s Poison IX: Immobilizes your target and grants you unstoppable, rendering you immune to control effects for 1.6 seconds. Ingredients: Columbine, Namira’s Rot, Wormwood.
