Why Should You Play ESO Necromancer PvE Healer Build?
The ESO Necromancer PvE Healer Build has one of the game’s strongest passives and active skill sets. This is because they have the most sought-after PvE ultimate, Colossus, and a supermassive burst heal. Combine these powerful class buffs with restoration and destruction staff and make a top-end healer. For this build, buffs and rotations take some practice because you will constantly have to reply buffs and debuffs in between burst healing low HP allies. However, if you want to add some serious group utility, this is the healer to do it!
In ESO, the Necromancer Healer PvE is perfect for everyone looking for a unique playstyle with a complete set of tools for group gameplay. If a powerful necromancer playstyle and following “pros” is what you are looking for, this build is for you!
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Great and Unique Ultimate | Relays on Corpses for Healing |
Good Resource Sustain | Complicated Rotation |
Incredible in group play |
ESO Necromancer PvE Healer Build Playstyle
Use the following rotation as the starter point. After, apply your buffs on cooldown for the best, highest healing and survivability. Healing is about keeping up all your buffs, healing over time and buffing your teammates. Necromancer Healer has a lot of good group tools in its toolkit, so make sure to take advantage of them. Certain 5-piece gear sets require a fully-charge heavy attack to proc extra effect e.g. Roaring Opportunist or Stone-Talker’s Oath.
Take advantage of your passives and game mechanics.
Additionally, thanks to the destruction staff passive Elemental Force, you have double chances to apply the so-called: status effect. Also, Cycle of Life passive makes your fully-charged Heavy Attacks with restoration staff to restore 30% more Magicka. And because of Essence Drain passive, you gain Major Mending for 4 seconds after completing a fully-charged Heavy Attack, increasing your healing done by 16%. As a result, it’s important to keep fully-charged heavy attacks in your rotation to keep high uptime.
Resources and Sustain
With this Healer Necromancer Build, you should have plenty of resources. However, if you run out of magica, do a heavy attack and return to your rotation. Remember that a heavy attack on off-balance enemies will return double the resources. While casting your abilities, be sure to do light and heavy attacks in between, as both help you regenerate ultimate, proc weapon enchantments, and specific healer set bonuses. Also, always use the suggested food and potions as they significantly increase your damage, survivability, and resource sustain.
Necromancer’s Unique Playstyle
As a Necromancer, you’ll need to generate or use corpses to cast skills, sometimes even without any magica or stamina cost. For example, Braided Tether needs to be used on corpses and cast for free but gives you AoE healing that follows you, 3% more healing done. To generate corpses, use Spirit Guardian. You can even recast it after half of the ability duration to generate them early. Many Necromancer skills benefit from corpses with extra healing or ultimate, so make sure you constantly generate them and rotate your buffs. Learning the rotation takes time, but it’s an extremely fun playstyle.
Skills
Front Bar: Restoration Staff
We use restoration staff for main healing abilities.
Radiating Regeneration (Morph of Regeneration | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Great multi-targeting heal over time ability, especially for mobile encounters, also helps to proc specific healer sets. Spam ability to cover more targets if needed.
Illustrious Healing (Morph of Grand Healing | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Great AoE heal over time ability with a big radius. Keep this heal up, especially when stationary, also used to proc sets requiring a ground cast ability.
Combat Prayer (Morph of Blessing of Protection | Skill Line : Restoration Staff) – Very important AoE heal that applies Minor Berserk and Minor Resolve, increasing damage output and resistances for you and your allies. Apply these buffs up as much as possible, so use ability as your main spammable
Braided Tether (Morph of Restoring Tether | Skill Line : Living Death) – Strong heal over time for you and your allies. Also increases healing done by 3% while slotted.
Enduring Undeath (Morph of Life amid Death | Skill Line : Living Death) – Great AoE heals that can consume corpses to continue healing the group, swap to the second morph, Renewing Undeath if you are in a situation where you need to remove harmful effects from your group.
Aggressive Horn (Morph of War Horn | Skill Line : Assault) – One of the most important ultimate abilities for a support role. Grants Major Force increasing critical damage by 20%, also increases Max Magicka and Stamina by 10% for you and your group members. Prioritize use of this ultimate, it provides a huge damage boost to your group, coordinate with other support roles if possible to keep a high uptime. Swap to: Renewing Animation if needed: Amazing AoE resurrection ultimate that can save your group from being wiped. Resurrects up to 3 allies and you also restore a ton of Magicka and Stamina. Only use if needed, otherwise, use Reviving Barrier (morph of Barrier | Alliance War/Support skill line): An ultimate that applies massive damage shields to group members, and those shielded also receive healing over time. Provides extra Magicka Recovery through Support skill line passive when slotting this ultimate ability.
Back Bar: Destruction Staff
Healers can use all three options, and the choice depends on the situation and content you are trying to complete. For beginners, I advise using lightning staff if you want easier heavy attack channelling or using Ice staff for extra block mitigation and shield if you struggle with survivability.
- Ice staff
- Inferno Staff
- Lightning Staff
Necrotic Potency (Morph of Bitter Harvest | Skill Line : Bone Tyrant) – Free heal with massive ultimate regeneration when consuming corpses, also reduces damage taken by 3% when slotted. Swap out for flex skill in larger group content.
Overflowing Altar (Morph of Blood Altar | Skill Line : Undaunted) – Provides massive healing during stationary PvE encounters.
Energy Orb (Morph of Necrotic Orb | Skill Line : Undaunted) – Main resource sustain synergy for your allies, also provides a strong AoE heal over time. Keep orb active and in proximity of your allies as much as possible.
Echoing Vigor (Morph of Vigor | Skill Line : Assault) – Use this on your back bar to proc Powerful Assault and dump your stamina for a good are heal over time that stacks with others.
Elemental Blockade (Morph of Wall of Elements | Skill Line : Destruction Staff) – Ground cast AoE ability is primarily used to apply status effects that debuff and weapon enchant, making it ideal to use Lighting or Ice staff.
Glacial Colossus (Morph of Frozen Colossus | Skill Line : Grave Lord) – An insane ultimate ability that applies Major Vulnerability to enemies in the area, increasing their damage taken by a massive amount. Combine this with our 5-piece back bar set bonus “Advanced Gear Setup”, you’ll grant allies Major Force increasing their Critical Damage by 20%. BIG DEEPS! Swap to Warn Horn if you have another Necromancer DPS in the group or Tank that already applies Major Vulnerability to enemies
