In BioWare’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there is no way to romance multiple companion characters at a time.
Romancing the companion characters is one of the key aspects of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Unlike previous Dragon Age games, you can romance all seven companions regardless of Rook’s or the companion’s gender. Several modern games, such as Fallout 4 and Baldur’s Gate 3, allow players to romance multiple characters simultaneously. Since The Veilguard also features multiple romance options (seven companions), it’s understandable to wonder if it’s possible to romance more than one character at a time.
You can’t romance more than one character at a time in your playthrough. You can flirt with all seven companions as much as you want until committing to an exclusive romantic relationship with one of them.
Once you commit to romance with any of the seven companions, the flirting options with others won’t be available. Other companions will be placed in a friend zone. If you commit to an exclusive relationship with any character, then some other characters in the game may start to date and romance each other.
How to Romance a Companion in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?
In The Veilguard, you can romance a companion by building a strong bond. Complete their personal quests, flirt, give gifts, and gain their approval. These steps increase your chances of romance. Near the end of their quest, you can commit to an exclusive relationship. You may also choose to decline.
For example, if you are trying to romance Bellara, choosing the dialogue option “I’m sure” after completing the ‘Hummingbird’s Lament’ quest commits you to an exclusive relationship with her. In contrast, selecting the alternative option “Maybe not the best idea” ends your romantic opportunity with her, and you both will be placed in a friend zone.
A key tip for romancing a companion is to decide which companion you want to romance, then choose the flirting options whenever they appear (marked with a heart) during conversations with them.
