How To Find the Chromatic Chapelier in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
As stated earlier, the Chromatic Chapelier is a secret boss in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. To find this boss, you have to head over to the northwestern end of The Continent. Here, you will find the optional area called The Crows. Enter this area, and you will see several glowing crows perched on fences. Shoot down all of these crows, as the Chromatic Chapelier will descend from the sky, kicking off the boss fight.

How To Defeat the Chromatic Chapelier in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The Chromatic Chapelier is difficult largely due to combo delays that throw off your parry timings. The boss’s ground smash is the main culprit, reviving your Margit PTSD. In this move, the Chapelier lifts up his axe, swings it into the air, and then smashes it down to the ground. The smash has a slight delay, making it difficult to read. To counter this, simply pay attention to the whoosh sound effect. This audio cue is your signal to parry. If you focus on listening to the attack rather than reading it visually, you will greatly increase your chances of success.
The second attack you need to watch for is the Masks. The boss will launch Masks into the air that hover around him. At the start of each turn, the Masks will then hit a party member, Silencing them. To counter this, simply enter free aim and shoot them down. Parry and counterattack the physical blows to defeat the Chromatic Chapelier.
