In this guide, we’ll explore how you can get the secret Baguette weapons in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. How can you unlock these weapons?
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has a wide range of secret items that players can miss if they do not explore all regions of the game carefully. However, the developers also included some items that are not meant to be acquired during the first playthrough. For instance, the Baguette weapons are only accessible when you start New Game Plus. The first time you play, you cannot obtain them.
Nevertheless, whether you receive the weapons in the New Game Plus playthrough will depend on your actions during the initial run. In this guide, we will break down what you need to do to get these weapons for every member of your team.
How To Get Baguette Weapons in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
As stated earlier, the Baguette weapons are available only during New Game Plus. You need to complete the game at least once to access the weapons for some of your allies. Follow the steps below:
- Step 1: In your initial playthrough, save all three of your Festival Tokens obtained during the game’s prologue section.
- Step 2: Once you have completed your first playthrough, start the New Game Plus playthrough.
- Step 3: In New Game Plus, locate the bakery in Lumiere during the prologue.
- Step 4: Interact with the bakery to get the Baguette weapon in exchange for one Festival Token. The character you are controlling during the interaction will receive the secret weapon. Switch characters until three of them have Baguette weapons. Gustave’s Baguette weapon will transfer to Verso as the story progresses.
- Step 5: Complete the New Game Plus prologue and save three Festival Tokens again. Since the bakery becomes inaccessible once the Festival begins, you will need to start a New Game Double Plus playthrough to unlock Baguette weapons for the remaining three team members.
- Step 6: After completing the New Game Plus playthrough, launch New Game++.
- Step 7: Go to the bakery again and interact with it as the three squadmates who do not have Baguette weapons yet. Spend the three Festival Tokens to unlock the weapons for the rest of your team.
You must complete the game at least twice to unlock Baguette weapons for the entire team. There is no workaround or quicker method.

Stats of Baguette Weapons in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The Baguette weapons for each character behave the same way. All of them deal Void Damage to enemies and have passive effects that unlock depending on the weapon’s level. These passive effects mimic the effects of different Pictos in the game. These are:
- Auto Death: At level 4, the weapon gains a passive effect that kills the wielder at the start of each battle. This mimics the Auto Death Picto.
- Second Chance: At level 10, the weapon revives its wielder with 100% health once per battle. This mimics the Second Chance Picto.
- First Strike: At level 20, the weapon allows the wielder to act first at the start of battles. This mimics the First Strike Picto.
Essentially, the Baguette weapons are only useful for saving some Lumina points that would otherwise be spent assigning these three Picto effects. However, the payoff may not justify the effort required to acquire these secret weapons. By the time you unlock them, you will likely have access to better weapons organically.
