This weapon has an Adept version that can be earned from completing the Nightfall on Grandmaster difficulty.

Why You Should Get the Braytech Osprey Rocket Launcher

You should get the Braytech Osprey Rocket Launcher because it is one of the better Void Rocket Launchers in the game. While it isn’t quite as good as the Apex Predator or the Cold Comfort, it still would be the better choice when Void is the Surge. It can also be an adept weapon, opening up those mod options. Here’s our list of why you should get the Apex Predator Rocket Launcher:

  • Better Void Option Rocket Launcher
  • Can utilize Adept Mods

How to get Braytech Osprey God Roll in Destiny 2

To get Braytech Osprey in Destiny 2, players will need to do Nightfalls in the Vanguard Playlist. Nightfalls, especially at the higher difficulties, have a chance to drop specific weapons based on the week that you do them. When Grandmasters open up toward the end of the season, the Adept version of these weapons can be acquired. Adept versions of these weapons get +3 to all of their stats when Masterworked and gain the ability to use Adept mods, which are typically much better than their normal counterparts.

Barrel: When it comes to rocket launchers, there really isn’t a wrong choice for the barrel in PvE. Quick Launch is typically preferred but this is a very minor issue if your roll doesn’t have it.

Magazine: On the other end of the spectrum, Impact Casing is a must have perk since it adds a direct buff to damage.

Column 3 Trait: The Osprey has a few good options here, but the best by far is Envious Assassin for the sheer amount of Rockets it allows you to have in the magazine. A roll with Auto-Loading Holster or Field Prep is also decent.

Column 4 Trait: The only trait in column 4 that is worth anything truly great is Lasting Impressions. Golden Tricorn is just too situational and requires too much set up to be viable.

Origin Trait: Both of the Origin perks are terrible for Rocket Launchers. Don’t worry about it.

Masterwork: Velocity and Handling are the best options for a masterwork.

Mods: This is a boss DPS weapon so make sure you take Boss Spec or Adept Big Ones Spec.

Conclusion: While not as shiny or awe inspiring as the Cold Comfort or Apex Predator, this is still a top tier Rocket Launcher and is absolutely worth going for the god roll.

Barrel: You can get a bunch of stats with no penalty while still maxing out blast radius. For your Barrel, Smart Drift Control is the best option.

Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds again adds stats with no penalty.

Column 3 Trait: Cluster Bombs makes missing with your rocket a little more forgivable in PvP as it causes a much greater area of damage. Just make sure to clean up the target as they most likely will still be alive.

Column 4 Trait: Chain Reaction allows for easier kills of large groups of enemies. Again its worth mentioning that you can roll Bipod here, but its still uncertain if that is a play or not.

Origin Trait: Both of the Origin perks are terrible for Rocket Launchers. Don’t worry about it.

Masterwork: Blast Radius will max this weapons out, allowing us to focus other stats on the barrel.

Mods: Quick Access Sling or Adept Projectile Speed are the best mod choices for PvP, allowing for either quick swaps to fire off the rocket faster or for a faster rocket making it harder to dodge.

Conclusion: While this weapon is absolutely worth farming for PvE, there are better rockets for PvP. Being able to max out the blast radius is nice, but just not worth the grind for the 5/5 god roll.
