Destiny 2: Final Shape Overpowered Weapons to Collect

Final Shape shaked the Destiny 2 meta with a prismatic subclass and a few Overpowered Weapons. Here are your 5 new hunt priorities.

Destiny 2 - Final Shape Overpowered - Best Weapons to Collect

Weapons and, most importantly, their rolls are the key to success and robust characters in Destiny 2. The culmination of the Light and Dark saga brought five exotic weapons and thirty-seven legendary guns to collect. It’s still early in the Destiny 2 Final Shape to determine what weapons will replace the current meta. However, with those top 5 rising in popularity weapons everybody talks about and tries to get, we can efficiently determine that one of them(if not more) will become a new overpowered gun you should add to your collection.

Overpowered Weapons in the Destiny 2 Final Shape

The most overpowered weapon everyone hunts for is the Ergo Sum Exotic sword, available with random rolls. This unique weapon not only benefits highly from the new prismatic subclass and transcendence mechanic but also greatly boosts its already powerful new features. It also allows players to repeat the exotic quest once a week to find the perfect roll that will fit their playstyle. Moreover, we must include a less impactful measurement of power but an essential aspect – the animation and design of Ergo Sum Sword are spectacular!

Also, other popular choices among players include the Lost Signal because of its powerful area of damage and remembrance to Witherhoard. The Call is a great sidearm, especially in PvE, and Bold Endings is a new stasis hand Cannon alternative for PvP mode. Lastly, the Veiled Threat is a versatile Auto rifle. All those weapons are craftable except for Ergo Sum, making them even more valuable in the Final Shape meta.

Here are the top 5 overpowered weapons released with the Destiny 2 Final Shape expansion:

  1. Ergo Sum (Exotic Sword) – Random roll drop, powerful Transcendence synergy
  2. The Call (Strand Sidearm) – Good new Strategist perk exemplary for PvE
  3. No Hesitation (Solar Auto Rifle) – Great Support Weapon
  4. Lost Signal (Stasis Grenade Launcher) – Legendary alternative to Witherhoard
  5. Bold Endings (Stasis Hand Cannon) – Powerful perk combination for PvP
  6. Veiled Threat (Stasis Auto Rifle) – Versatile, good damage, and new perks synergy.

6 Veiled Threat

Destiny 2 Veiled Threat Auto Rifle

Veiled Threat features in Destiny 2:

  • Weapon Name: Veiled Threat
  • Weapon Type: Auto Rifle
  • Weapon Element: Stasis
  • Frame: Rapid-Fire Frame
    • Deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty.
  • Origin Trait: Radiolaria Transposer
    • Effect: Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid.
  • RPM: 720
  • Magazine: 50
  • Location: Episode: Echoes Activities
  • Craftable: Yes

Auto rifles are versatile and all-around good to use in various content. Especially if you miss a shot or face new mechanics in the game when you must learn them, they are a forgiving weapon to hold the trigger and do good damage, making them a preferable choice in many situations for players. Veiled Threat is this type of weapon in the Destiny 2 Final shape and can easily be called overpowered in the current meta for a few reasons.

It’s craftable so that you can adjust the roll to your needs and playstyle. The rapid-fire frame gives more ammo and lets you reload faster when its magazine is empty. Weapons with a faster reload always reward more DPS. And with more ammo, you can keep the trigger surprised and easily increase damage.

It rolls the headstone perk, where the final blows spawn stasis shards, which is critical for stasis builds because most of their passives and buffs build on generating and collecting crystals. Moreover, new perks introduced in the Fianal Shape, The Strategist (column 3), generate ability energy, which stacks nicely with the Headstone perk (column 4).

5 Bold Endings

Destiny 2 Bold Endings Hand Cannon

Bold Endings features in Destiny 2:

  • Weapon Name: Bold Endings
  • Weapon Type: Hand Cannon
  • Weapon Element: Stasis
  • Frame: Heavy Burst
    • Effect: Fires a hard-hitting, two-round burst. Slightly reduces flinching from incoming fire while aiming.

  • RPM: 257
  • Magazine: 16
  • Location: Exploring the Pale Heart
  • Craftable: Yes

In short, after the kinetic weapons nerf, the Bold Endings have a chance to replace the Warden’s Law. This new Stasis Hand Cannon is favored after recent hotfixes and adjustments made before the final Shape. Further, it can drop with two new perks in the third column: Air Trigger or To The Pain. While the first one lowers target acquisition and doesn’t feel like PvP suitable, the second one sounds similar to the Eye of the Storm and can do fantastic damage to players if handled correctly. Another decent PvP perk this weapon can drop with is Collective Action, which synergizes nicely into the Stasis Shatters.

Bold Endings also drops with dragonfly, which is unique for kinetic weapons in Destiny 2. Surprisingly, there is no shortage of good PvE perks for Bold Endings. For example, the Rapid Hits will increase your stability and reload speed, and you can gain stacks easily because this is a heavy burst head cannon. Additionally, other good perks include the Rapid Hit, Headstone, and Dragonfly. The last two perks create an impressive synergy. In short, precision kills create Stasis shards, causing the AoE damage from Dragonfly.

4 Lost Signal

Destiny 2 Lost Signal Grenade Launcher

Lost Signal features in Destiny 2:

  • Weapon Name: Lost Signal
  • Weapon Type: Grenade Launcher
  • Weapon Element: Stasis
  • Frame: Area Denial Frame
    • Burst fire Grenade Launcher. Each projectile creates a lingering pool on impact that deals damage over time.
  • Origin Trait: Radiolaria Transposer
    • Effect: Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid.
  • RPM: 72
  • Magazine: 1
  • Location: Episode: Echoes Activities
  • Craftable: Yes

Many call Lost Signal the new Witherhoard, which is partially true, considering how it combines the Wardcliff Coil with Witherhoard. Instead of one projectile, Lost Signal fires three that cover a significant AoE area. It is also a legendary weapon that frees your exotic slot for other additions, making it even more desirable and powerful.

Among available perks, it can drop with an auto-loading holster, which automatically reloads it, saving you time and, as a result, allowing you to deal more damage quickly. Moreover, it drops with two new perks. Firstly, in the third column, we have the strategist perk, with final blows, generates class ability energy. Secondly, in the fourth column, you can get the Reverberation perk that increases the already significant area of damage with final blows.

While we don’t think this weapon will replace Witherhoard in every scenario, it is a valid legendary alternative grenade launcher in the Final Shape.

No Hesitation is a solar support frame auto rifle that was introduced in The Final Shape expansion. You can obtain your first No Hesitation by playing through the Final Shape campaign, and afterward, it can be obtained as a random drop in the Pale Heart destination. No Hesitation is a unique and powerful support weapon. When activated by hitting enemies with the weapon, you can fire it from the hip at allies to heal them.

In PvE, auto rifles benefit from perks that enhance their recoil, such as Arrowhead Brake, and increase their magazine size (like Appended Mag). No Hesitation is the first support frame, so we’re going to focus on enhancing its support role. The Physic perk boosts its healing effectiveness by granting restoration and healing. Additionally, we can also boost its damage with the Circle of Life perk. Alternatively, you could choose a more direct perk like Frenzy or Incandescent.

  • God Roll Guide and How to Get

The Call, a rocket-assisted frame sidearm, was also released alongside the Final Shape expansion. In PvE, rocket-assisted sidearms established themselves as powerful weapons, offering impressive damage, efficient ammo usage, and straightforward handling. Above all, placed in your kinetic weapon slot, The Call fits this weapon archetype, granting you unparalleled versatility to pair it with powerful energy weapons. As a result, it gives you many powerful options at your disposal, making it a top contender for the coveted kinetic slot.

Thanks to the Dealer’s Choice Origin Trait, the final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of Super energy, which, when tested, results in about a 1%-5% boost, a decent amount.

Moreover, if you pair it with a Quick Launch barrel, High-Velocity Rounds magazine, and Reload masterwork, which boosts our velocity and reload speed, you will get one of the best roll combinations for PvE. You can probably use it in PvP, but in the Destiny 2 Final Shape, the Call fits nicely into the PvE meta. Similarly, the interesting combination you can get if you get the call with the new Strategist perk improves this weapon’s stability each time you activate the class ability. Additionally, final blows generate class ability energy, which synergizes with the new Ascension aspect for Hunters.
