Barrel: For our barrel, we are going with Barrel Shroud. This gives a large boost to our handling letting us draw our weapon faster do deal as much damage as fast as possible.

Magazine: With the magazine we are going to improve the weapons base magazine by choosing Appended Mag. This will give us one extra shot in the mag so we have to slide less often to reload.

Column 3 Perk: For our third perk, we are choosing Slideshot. This gives a boost in range and reloads our weapon when we slide. This keeps us from having to physically reload our weapon, letting us chain rapid kills by simply sliding occasionally.

Column 4 Perk: Our last perk is One-Two Punch. This gives us a powerful boost in either powered or unpowered melee after landing all the pellets of your shotgun. This, paired with the right build can offer huge damage even to bosses without a build it still pairs well with the close-range playstyle of shotguns.

Masterwork:  For the masterwork, handling is the obvious pick. Paired with our barrel this allows us to swap to our shotgun incredibly fast to either finish off a combatant or deal massive damage to a large health enemy.

Mod: Major Spec is our go to option here. This gives the weapon a small boost in damage towards higher health targets which the weapon is especially good at melting.

Conclusion: Shotguns in PVE are kind of niche for certain builds, however, they still are great for major enemy melting close-range gameplay. Hand In Hand still has great perks and is a strong contender for anyone wanting a close-range weapon.

Barrel: For our barrel, we are going with Full Choke. This reduces our pellet spread giving us a more consistent shot every time. Missing one pellet can be the difference between securing a elimination or not so a small pellet spread is incredibly important.

Magazine: The magazine choice here is Accurized Rounds. This magazine increases our range allowing us to hit our enemy with the same damage from further away.

Column 3 Perk: For our third perk, we are choosing Slideshot. This gives a boost in range and reloads our weapon when we slide. This keeps us from having to physically reload our weapon by simply sliding between engagements.

Column 4 Perk: Our last column is going to be Elemental Capacitor. When running the arc subclass, it gives this shotgun a massive boost in handling. This paired with our other perks allows us to draw the shotgun insanely fast while not sacrificing much overall range.

Masterwork: Similar to PVE we are going with Handling. Paired with our other perks this allows us to swap to our shotgun incredibly fast to either finish off a guardian or get our first shot off faster.

Mod: Quick Access Sling is a must have. This increases our ready and stow speeds giving us the best chance to counter any enemies rushing your location.

Conclusion: Shotguns are incredibly strong in PVP, aggressive frames being a favored archetype. With strong perks and good stats Hand In Hand is no slouch in PVP.
