How to Obtain the Point of the Stag in Destiny 2
Point of the Stag can be obtained from the Iron Banner playlist. This includes end of match rewards in Iron Banner, Iron Banner Weekly Challenges, and turning in Iron Banner Engrams. Once the weapon has been earned you can focus it at Lord Saladin for Iron Banner Engrams, Glimmer, and Legendary Shards. The Iron Banner playlist and Lord Saladin are only available during set weeks 3 times each season.

Bows in PvE are powerhouses and some of the strongest anti-champion weapons in the game due to their high damage profiles and accuracy. With good perk pools and ease of use, they are suitable for any level of PvE, but really shine in end game content where enemies health bars are higher.
Point of the Stag has a solid perk pool for PvE depending upon your desired output of the weapon. There’s a strong selection of damage perks like Precision Instrument and strong add clear perks like Dragonfly. However, focusing on all around useful perks, the recommended perk combination is Archer’s Tempo and Precision Instrument. This gives a damage boost by simply dealing damage, a draw time boost, and is effective against all combatant types. Draw time is incredibly important on bows, allowing them to fire faster, so stacking into draw time is incredibly important with our string and masterwork.
Overall, there is a great selection of perks and options available for this weapon and the ease of farming making it extremely desirable if you don’t already have a good arc bow option in the energy slot.

Bows are definitely one of the weaker archetypes in PvP due to their slow time to kill and unforgiveness if missing shots. Most being over half a second in draw time, if you miss your initial shots there is a good chance you don’t get to land any others. Even with these weaknesses, they are incredibly powerful in team shooting due to their high damage allowing your teammates to clean up kills even if you cannot.
Point of the Stag is a little lackluster in PvP perks, boasting really only one solid combination. The combination of Archer’s Tempo and Swashbuckler provides a draw time buff and a stacking damage buff. Should you be able to get a melee kill or stack the damage boost up to its max stack of five, you’ll be able to one tap guardians in PvP.
With a small selection of PvP perks and the only one solid combination of perks that relies on quite a bit of setup, this bow isn’t really recommended for PvP. However, it will still perform well for those who do not have another option or who are prepared for dealing with proccing of the perks.
