How to Get Raconteur in Destiny
To get Reconteur in Destiny 2, players will need to own Season of Defiance and complete the “Awaken, Queensguard” mission. This will open up the Seasonal Playlist, Defiant Battlegrounds, which drops all of the Season of Defiance weapons including Raconteur. Defiant Battlegrounds have a chance to drop Recontuer or another Defiant weapon or Armor Piece. You can use a Defiant Key to also get a Resonant version of Defiant weapons as well. The Defiant Battlegrounds playlist is found on the HELM.
You can also focus your Defiant Engrams that you earn at the War Table Found in the HELM as well if you have the Defiant Weapon Focusing War Table Upgrade. It cost 4 Defiant Engrams and 3000 Glimmer to do this.
In order to get more Deepsight Resonant Weapons quickly in order to craft, you should pick the following War Table upgrades when available: Defiant Weapon Focusing, Deepsight Decoding, and Queensguard’s Arsenal. More details on how to unlock it: How to Get Destiny 2 Raconteur Bow Guide
PvE – Raconteur God Roll
The following list presents Destiny 2 Raconteur God Roll for PvE
Slot | Trait |
---|---|
String | Polymer String |
Fletching | Fiberglass Arrow Shaft |
Perk 1 | Enhanced Archer’s Tempo |
Perk 2 | Enhanced Explosive Head |
Origin Trait | Noble Deeds |
Masterwork | Accuracy |
Mod | Minor Spec |
String: When it comes to bows, the best string perk for almost any situation, is polymer string. An accuracy bump and draw time buff with no downside.
Fletching: Again bows have an easy choice, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft gives us a huge accuracy boost with a small stability hit.
Column 3 Perk: Archer’s Tempo is one of the best perks for any bow for PvE. It gives you a nice bump to your draw time. Faster draw time means more arrows down range. If you are crafting make sure you take the Enhanced Trait.
Column 4 Perk: Explosive Head is a great PvE perk. It increases our total damage output on all combatants. Headstone is also a great perk if you are running a stasis build. Rampage also has some great potential and pairs well with Archer’s Tempo. Remember to take the Enhanced Trait if you can.
Origin: No choice here. There is only one trait – a fun little passive benefit.
Masterwork: When it comes to a bow, Accuracy is one of the best stats you can have.
Mod: I state minor spec here to help us get kills on mobs quickly, but you could flex in major spec mod if you are taking down champions with your bow.
Conclusion: Bows are unique in that they are typically used in low-end content but are some of the best things to use in high-end content. They have a great range, which grants you safety and do a decent amount of damage for a primary weapon.
PvP – Raconteur God Roll
Slot | Trait |
---|---|
String | Polymer String |
Fletching | Fiberglass Arrow Shaft |
Perk 1 | Surplus |
Perk 2 | Eye of the Storm |
Origin Trait | Noble Deeds |
Masterwork | Handling |
Mod | Targeting Adjuster |
String: When it comes to bows, the best string perk for almost any situation, is polymer string. An accuracy bump and draw time buff with no downside.
Fletching: Again bows have an easy choice, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft gives us a huge accuracy boost with a small stability hit.
Column 3 Perk: In PvP, getting a buff to weapon stats is a huge boon, and no other perks gives more than Surplus. At maximum stacks we are talking perfect handling and huge boost to stability. Archer’s Tempo isn’t a bad pick her either. Remember to take the Enhanced version if you are crafting it!
Column 4 Perk: Eye of the Storm is one of the better picks for most weapons in PvP. You could work with a few of the other perks here as well but none are quite as good as Eye. Remember to Enhance it if possible for a little Stability bump.
Origin: No choice here. There is only one trait. A fun little passive benefit.
Masterwork: Sometimes you need to switch off your bow quickly to clean up an opponent with a faster firing weapon. In fact, there are whole PvP builds built around this concept. Having a higher Handling will make that faster. Accuracy will also work here.
Mod: Targeting Adjuster is just a nice mode to use for most weapons in PvP. It never is a bad choice. You could also go with Quick Access Sling if you are wanting to build into the quick swap bow PvP builds.
Conclusion
Bows are a more niche PvP choice. That being said they can be very effective. Typically you are either going to love using a bow in PvP or hate it. And you most certainly are going to get upset when you see that the final blow that killed you was a bow.
