Destiny 2 Sole Survivor God Roll and How to Get

Welcome to our Destiny 2 Sole Survivor God Roll and How to Get Guide. The Sole Survivor is an Adaptive Frame Arc Sniper Rifle that can be obtained as a drop from the fishing activity or focused at the Sonar Station introduced during the Season of the Deep.

Sniper Rifles are great options for PvE and PvP. They do decent damage to bosses in long range situations in PvE. They are a favorite in PvP allowing for one shot kills, provided you can hit your headshots.

How to get Sole Survivor God Roll in Destiny 2

To get Sole Survivor in Destiny 2, players will need to own Season of the Deep and complete the introductory mission. After this players should complete the first few steps of the “Into the Deep” Mission and that will unlock the Fishing Tackle to allow for fishing. Reckoning Weapons can be earned by fishing and turning in the fish caught at the HELM.

You can also focus the Deep Engrams that you earn at the Sonar Station found in the HELM as well if you have the Deep Weapon Focusing Sonar Station Upgrade. The upgrades and how to unlock them are found in the Seasonal challenges menu. Once you have earned a weapon and unlocked it in your collections, provided you have the upgrade, you can focus that specific weapon from the Deep Engram Decoding menu at the Sonar Station.

PvE Sole Survivor God Roll

Barrel: Arrowhead Brake will make the recoil direction much more predictable. It also gives a decent little buff to handling, but honestly any barrel will do for PvE

Magazine: Appended Mag paired with Back-Up Mag will get the most bullets down range.

Column 3 Trait: There are only a couple really good perks here for PvE snipers on this weapon and Rapid Hit is the best of these.

Column 4 Trait: When you see firing line on a sniper rifle it is almost always the best choice.

Origin Trait: Disaster Plan is an alright passive benefit.

Masterwork: Honestly any masterwork will do for PvE.

Mods: Back-Up Mag is the best choice when combined with Appended Mag.

Conclusion: From a trait perspective, this is probably one of the better Arc Snipers for PvE. That being said it can be outclassed by a few other Snipers in the energy slot, so its not the best thing to chase.

PvP Sole Survivor God Roll

Barrel: Any barrel that adds to Range or Handling is the best choice. Range helps with accuracy and Handling helps with ADS and swap speed. Both are very important for PvP.

Magazine: Ricochet Rounds is the best choice here for PvP.

Column 3 Trait: Snapshot Sights is considered a must have perk on snipers allowing for quick ADS speeds which can make or break the ability to get a crispy headshot.

Column 4 Trait: Eye of the Storm is considered a good PvP perk, since getting shot at is going to happen a lot. While not typically the best choice on Snipers, its really the only great PvP option.

Origin Trait: Disaster Plan is an alright passive benefit.

Masterwork: Range is typically the best choice in PvP. A Handling masterwork will work as well.

Mods: Helping the aim assist stat is another important PvP option, so Targeting Adjuster is a great pick.

Conclusion: While not nearly as good as Mercurial Overreach, this is still an alright PvP option. Of the Reckoning Weapons, its probably the one I am least excited about for either PvE or PvP. Still if you get the god roll, its worth keeping.
