PvE – Unwavering Duty God Roll
The following list includes all Destiny 2 Unwavering Duty God Roll traits for PvE
Barrel | Arrowhead Brake |
Magazine | Appended Mag |
Column 3 Trait | Subsistence |
Column 4 Trait | Killing Tally |
Origin Trait | Suros Synergy |
Masterwork | Range |
Mod | Backup Mag |
Barrel: Arrowhead Brake gives this this weapon the maximum Recoil Direction Stat, making it a top contender for this slot. Really any barrel will do though.
Magazine: Machine guns rely on their ammo economy and amount of bullets fired for their ability both to clear adds and do damage to bosses. Appended Mag, when paired with a Backup Mag Mod, gets this weapon to maximum magazine capacity. Flared Magwell, Light Mag and Alloy Magazine are also decent options.

Column 3 Trait: Field Prep, Auto-Loading Holster, and Ambitious Assassin are all great choices here, but for how Machine Guns are typically used. Subsistence is the absolute best choice in Column 3.
Column 4 Trait: Column 4 has so many good choices, some which are better even than the choice provided here given the situation. It was hard to make a choice, but overall Killing Tally adds the most usage for every situation. That being said Firing Line, Focused Fury, Incandescent, and Cascade Point all could work depending on playstyle and the content being done.
Masterwork: Really any choice here would work, but Range probably is the best one.
Origin Trait: Suros Synergy is the best choice for most content, but changing to Alacrity is better for solo content.
Mod: Backup mag maxes out Unwavering Duty’s magazine when paired with Appended Mag.
Conclusion: Unwavering Duty is an excellent Solar PvE Machine Gun. It does have some decent competition from some other weapons though, but its definitely worth a pick up if you are doing Trials of Osiris.
PvP – Unwavering Duty God Roll
The following list includes all Destiny 2 Unwavering Duty God Roll traits for PvP
Barrel | Arrowhead Brake |
Magazine | Ricochet Rounds |
Column 3 Trait | Dynamic Sway Reduction |
Column 4 Trait | Tap the Trigger |
Origin Trait | Alacrity |
Masterwork | Range |
Mod | Targeting Adjuster |
Barrel: Arrowhead Brake gives this this weapon the maximum Recoil Direction Stat, making it a top contender for this slot. Really any barrel will do though.
Magazine: Increasing the Range, which helps out with accuracy, is a great option for most hit scan weapons for PvP. This is just as true for Machine Guns as other weapons.

Column 3 Trait: Machine Guns have a great time to kill already and the ability to kill multiple enemies with one pick up. Dynamic Sway Reduction will make it easier to land shots as the trigger is held down.
Column 4 Trait: Oddly enough Tap the Trigger works well with Dynamic Sway Reduction. As the bonus from one stops the other one ramps up, basically allowing for great uptime of buffs all around.
Origin Trait: No origin trait is especially helpful for PvP on this weapon, but Alacrity can be handy in very specific situations.
Masterwork: Range is always a great stat in PvP.
Mod: Targeting Adjuster is a great choice here. This gives a small boost in your aim assist making your bullets more likely to hit the target.
Conclusion: Machine Guns are actually a great choice for PvP in the right hands. They allow for multiple kills fairly easily on one heavy ammo pick up. While not the free kill of Rocket Launchers or the more devastating grenade launchers, Unwavering Duty is still a completely great option.
