Destiny 2 Arc Titan Solo Build
This Destiny 2 Arc Titan Solo Build is for those players looking for massive AoE damage, speed and huge damage. Both solo or in a group, this build excels at massive damage.
Last Updated March 2, 2023. Destiny 2 has gone through a major change with their modding system. Making mods much easier and simpler to understand but taking some of the old metas and either eliminating them or making them relevantly the same. For instance, the “well” mods most players have been accustomed to have been completely eliminated, and really the only system and combination is based of orbs of power. The mod loadout you see today will change over time as we become accustomed to new and shifting meta in Destiny 2 Lightfall. This loadout has been tested and works, so check back frequently as we will be updating these builds throughout the season and expansion.
Should you play Arc Titan Solo?

Arc Titan has a few essential strengths and a unique playstyle, making it incredibly fun to play. If following “Pros” is what you’re looking for, this is the build for you!
Pros |
Cons |
Insane damage | Exotic dependent |
Super fast | Ability spam |
Aiming isn’t that important | Must play aggressive |
Ability uptime | Mod dependent |
What is the Best Destiny 2 Titran build?
The Arc Titan possesses blinding speed and AoE damage but lacks a lot of the survivability of other subclasses. This is overall a great build for huge damage with the possibility of grenade ability spamming. This is my personal favorite for farming lost sectors and solo content on the Titan due to it’s speed and ease of damage.
Solo Arc Titan Playstyle
The build is all about powering up our abilities using Heart of Inmost Light while simultaneously boosting our uptime of our abilities to make the damage even more insane. The HoIL loop for this build is simple, class ability, melee, grenade, repeat. Run around causing as much mayhem as possible creating Arc wells and picking them up to make your abilities come back even faster.
Abilities
Some abilities, aspects and fragments need to be unlocked before use. In order to do that, Destiny 2 players need to visit Ikora in the Tower and do the related quest or purchase them from her. Lastly, if you bought new aspects and fragments don’t forget to “meditate”. Simply click the “meditate” option on the table next to Ikora.
Arc Buffs & Debuffs
Buffs & Debuffs
Lightfall saw a revamp of core buffs and debuff for each class.
Arc
- Spark of Instinct (New!)
-
- When critically wounded, taking damage from nearby enemies emits a burst of damaging Arc energy that Jolts targets.
- Spark of Haste (New!)
-
- You have greatly increased resilience, recovery, and mobility while sprinting.
Additionally, below we listed the important buffs and debuffs for the Arc build to help you better understand this playstyle.
- Blind (Debuff) – Disorients the combatants preventing them from firing their weapons. For players, it removes the hud and obscures their vision.
- Jolted (Debuff) – Charges the target with the Arc Light and takes additional damage, also chain lightning to nearby enemies.
- Amplified (Buff) – The buff is activated by defeating targets with Arc damage. This buff grants +50 Mobility, increases sprint speed, slide distance, jump height, and grants improved weapon handling for 15 seconds. The buff can also be activated upon landing four rapid Arc kills against red bar combatants, Stronger enemies like majors give more progress. When you are granted the Speed Boost buff so long as you keep sprinting you will not lose it even if Amplified is gone Speed Boost remains.
- Ionic Trace (Buff) – Sends the bolt of Arc energy on the ground, which if picked up grants you energy. Traces only spawn for their creator and aggressively track to their location *Traces only spawn for their creator and aggressively track to their location

Kinetic Weapons
PvE is always a situational piece in Destiny. What content you are doing always has a significant effect on your loadout. I will list some great options that work in most situations but note that you will most likely have to change things out. This build encourages you to use stasis weapons over anything else to get that sweet damage buff though.
If you have a special weapon here, run a primary in your energy slot or vice versa. You can also run primary weapons in both slots, but double special weapons are typically not the best play except in very certain situations. Remember that these are suggestions and you will definitely have to switch weapons out.

Armor Stats
Here is the priority of where we want our highest stats for this build. Pump up your resilience and then try to spread everything else out fairly evenly with spikes here and there. In order of importance:- Resilience - Resilience is king is PvE. It has exponential returns and it pays to put as much as you can into it. The difference between 90 and 100 is 8 percent damage mitigation. That's huge!
- Recovery - Survival is the most important thing in PvE. The higher your recovery the faster you get back into the fight.
- Discipline - Storm grenades are just amazing, and we want to get them as fast as possible. Again diminishing returns so better to spread out rather than focus it. It will be coming back quick thanks to our arc wells anyway.
- Strength - We want to get our melee back often too, but the diminishing returns make it to where its best to spread out our stats rather than focus them.
- Intellect - Thundercrash is more of utility than a damage ability for us, but having a thundercrash handy to get to a res can make a almost certain defeat become a beautiful hero moment.
- Mobility - As a Titan, we don’t need a lot of Mobility. It will help with jumping puzzles but that’s really it.
- Mobility - <50 (higher is fine if you’ve hit other markers)
- Resilience - 100
- Recovery - ~60
- Discipline - ~80
- Intellect - ~60
- Strength - ~70

Important Mods

Armor Modification Change: these mods will seem foreign to returning players with Lightfall changing the entire system. The system you build around now is only orbs of power. You also see an armor charge mechanic and some of the previous mechanics for generating orbs of power and previously used mods. This system is evolving, and we will continue to make changes as we gain a better understanding of the new mod system. Here’s a list of all the current armor mods.
Artifice Armor Change: provides an extra +3 to whatever stat you want this should help you reach these stat goals.
Artifact Change: The artifact no longer provides mods instead it reduces the costs of some of the mods and provides passives as you level up and unlock them. Season 20 Artifact.
