Destiny 2 Stasis Titan PvP Build

This guide gives weapons, exotics, and armor mods for a Destiny 2 Stasis Titan PvP Build, intended for players in PvP content!

Updated June 19, 2024Destiny 2The Final Shape and Update 8.0.0.1 has many crucial changes. The new expansion brings a new subclass, Salvation’s Edge raid, with new weapons and gear, a power level increase, new exotic gear, and – never seen before – exotic class items. Also, the new base game update includes many class and weapon balance changes that influenced the Destiny 2 builds and meta.

Why Should You Play Stasis Titan in PvP?

This build is all about playing into the passive benefits of breaking shards to damage our enemies and get our abilities back faster. Even better, it grants us defensive benefits when shards are around, so ensure you keep one alive during engagements.

You want to try to freeze your enemy as much as possible with your Howl of the Storm melee or glacier grenades. Once they are dealt with, shatter the crystals left to grab the shards they create to get your abilities back and get a nice little overshield. Repeat this process for the next engagement.

Abilities

Some abilities, aspects, and fragments need to be unlocked before use. Once you’ve finished the Beyond Light campaign, the Exo Stranger will offer you a new quest called Born in Darkness. The quest has 4 parts you will have to complete to unlock and use 100% of your stasis subclass.

Glacial Quake – This is our only choice, and isn’t really the best for PvP. You can still utilize it to hold choke points down, but Behemoths are more about neutral game in PvP.

Rally Barricade – Use this to create choke points and Stasis Crystals.

Catapult Lift – This really comes down to personal preference, so feel free to flex another lift if you prefer it.

Glacier Grenade – Two very important things for this build. Make sure your killing your enemy quickly and breaking the crystals to get the shards.

Shiver Strike – Another no choice option, this melee doesn’t have a lot going for it in PvP on its own. But if we use Howl of the Storm it allows us to freeze our opponents making it viable.

Aspects

Tectonic Harvest – This will have our shattered crystals create stasis shards which when we collect them will grant us melee energy and other passive benefits.

Howl of the Storm – We want to be able to utilize our melee more effectively and this aspect helps us do just that.

Fragments

Whisper of Rime : When we collect a Stasis shard we will get an overshield.

Whisper of Conduction : We don’t need to be thinking about the shards to much and this will let us passively pick them up when we run by them.

Whisper of Chains : When you are near friendly stasis crystals you will take less damage, another great choice to keep you alive.

Whisper of Shards : Since this build is all about ability uptime and neutral game, getting our grenade back faster by shattering crystals is an easy pick.

Weapons for Stasis Titan PvP Build

The best weapon combination with the Stasis Titan PvP Build is an Igneous Hammer and Conditional Finality. Since these provide the best utility for both good close-range and mid-range engagements. Also, the hand cannon and shotgun are among the weapon combinations with the highest skill gaps and are often preferred by veteran players or those participating in high levels of PVP content.

Weapon Combinations

Below are some additional weapon combinations for our Stasis Titan PvP Build:

  1. Hand Cannon & Fusion Rifle – Best for good aimers
  2. Submachine Gun & Sniper Rifle – Best for aggressive players
  3. Pulse Rifle and Shotgun – Best for passive players

If you wish to run a different weapon combination, we highly recommend at least running a primary ammo weapon and a special ammo weapon. Running two special weapons will limit your ammo and is not functional. Even though utilizing two primary weapons is doable, you will be at a massive disadvantage due to the strength of special ammo weapons.

Hand Cannon & Fusion Rifle

While not as iconic as the hand cannon and shotgun meta that ruled Destiny 2 for many years, the hand cannon and fusion rifle combo is lethal. You benefit from mid-range engagements with your hand cannon and close-range bursts with your fusion rifle. This combination is potent for guardians who like the high skill gap of hand cannons, and it provides an easier-to-use special weapon with the Fusion Rifle.

Submachine Gun & Sniper Rifle

With close-range and long-range engagements taken care of with this pairing, however, playing very aggressively with this combination is recommended. With a submachine gun, you are lethal at close ranges, allowing you to contest most weapons within short range. A sniper rifle lets you clear a lane and push up towards your enemies.

Pulse Rifle & Shotgun

This pairing allows for both long-range and close-range to be secured. Pulse Rifles can out-range most hand cannons while providing a very easy-to-use weapon, so they work well with more passive players. Shotguns provide one-shot potential when getting rushed by enemy players that push your position.

Exotic Armor

Hoarfrost-Z – Obtained from Legend and Master Lost Sectors when chest are the targeted exotic. These will grant us more Stasis Crystals to utilize, which is great for this build.

Armor Stats

The best stats to focus on in our Stasis Titan PvP Build are Resilience, Strength, and Discipline. Since these provide survivability, they reduce our class ability and super cooldowns.

  • Mobility: 30
  • Resilience: 100
  • Recovery: 60
  • Disciple: 90
  • Intellect: 20
  • Strength: 90
