Welcome to Destiny 2 Stasis Titan PvP Build!
Last Updated March 9, 2023, for Lightfall Expansion and Season 20, Season of Defiance. Destiny 2 has gone through a major change with their modding system. Making mods much easier and simpler to understand. However, taking some of the old metas and either eliminating them or making them relevantly the same. For instance, the “well” mods most players have been accustomed to have been completely eliminated, and the only system and combination are based on orbs of power.
The mod loadout you see today will change over time as we become accustomed to new and shifting meta in Destiny 2 Lightfall. This build has been tested and works, so check back frequently, as we will be updating these builds throughout the season and expansion.
Stasis Titan PvP Build for Destiny 2
This Destiny 2 Stasis Titan PvP Build is all about playing into the passive benefits of breaking shards to damage our enemies and get our abilities back faster. Even better, it grants us defensive benefits when shards are around, so make sure you keep one alive during engagements.
Playstyle
You want to be trying to freeze you enemy as much as you can with your Howl of the Storm melee or glacier grenades. Once they are dealt with, shatter the crystals that are left to grab the shards they create to get your abilities back and also get a nice little overshield. Repeat this process for the next engagement.
Should you play Stasis Titan in PvP?

Stasis Titan has a few essential strengths and a unique playstyle, making it incredibly fun to play. If following “Pros” is what you’re looking for, this is the build for you!
Pros |
Cons |
Fun and effective neutral game | Its super is one of the worst for PvP |
Can work with most weapon loadouts | Stasis takes time to obtain |
Grants you overshield |
Abilities
Abilities, aspects and fragments need to be unlocked before use. Once you’ve finished the Beyond Light campaign, the Exo Stranger will offer you a new quest called Born in Darkness. The quest has 4 parts in it that you are going to have to complete to unlock and use 100% of your stasis subclass. Bring Monte Carlo if you have it as some parts require stasis melee final blows and Monte Carlo charges your melee quickly.
Stasis Buffs & Debuffs
Additionally, we listed the important buffs and debuffs for the Stasis build to help you better understand this playstyle.
- Stasis Buffs & Debuffs:
- Stasis Crystal (Buff)
- A crystal of solidified Stasis matter. Upon creation, freezes nearby combatants and slows nearby players. Crystals can be destroyed, dealing damage in an area.
- Stasis Shard (Buff)
- A small shard of Stasis matter that can be collected to restore melee energy.
- Slow (Debuff)
- The target has slowed movement, slowed ability regeneration, and reduced weapon performance. Slowed combatants have difficulty firing accurately. After accumulating enough Slow stacks, the target is frozen.
- Freeze (Debuff)
- The target is trapped in Stasis matter and is unable to move. After taking additional damage while frozen, the target shatters.
- Shatter (Debuff)
- When a frozen target is shattered, they take damage and deal damage in an area around them.
- Stasis Crystal (Buff)

Pair a Kinetic Weapon in your primary slot, with a special in your secondary slot. Always have at least one special weapon. Ideally, a Pulse with a Shotgun or a Fusion or a Submachine with a Sniper is a great combo.

Exotic Armor
Any Exotic armor that can passively aid us is the play here. I’ve listed a few examples below.
Some, like One-Eyed Mask, grant us nice passive benefits without much planning.
Citan’s Ramparts gives us more flexibility with our barrier.
Haorfrost-Z gives us more Stasis Crystals to utilize.

Armor Stats
Here is the priority of where we want our highest stats for this build. Pump up your resilience and then try to spread everything else out fairly evenly with spikes here and there. In order of importance:- Resilience - We need be popping our Barricade as often as possible and a high resilience score makes that happen. It also lessens flinch in PvP which is super helpful. More health is always handy as well.
- Recovery - Sometimes you need to break off an engagement and when you do you are going to want to heal up quickly.
- Mobility - We need to be able to strafe in and out from our behind our barrier quickly. So we need a decent mobility stat.
- Discipline - Our grenades make stasis crystals, which we will be utilizing heavily with this build.
- Strength - This will freeze our enemies and also make stasis crystals.
- Intellect - Our super is one of the worst in the game for PvP. Its slow and easily avoided or countered. Feel free to completely neglect this stat.
- Mobility - ~60
- Resilience - 100
- Recovery - ~70
- Discipline - ~70
- Intellect - <50
- Strength - ~70

Important Mods
Mod changes in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Armor Modification Change: these mods will seem foreign to returning players with Lightfall changing the entire system. The system you build around now is only orbs of power. You also see an armor charge mechanic and some of the previous mechanics for generating orbs of power and previously used mods. This system is evolving, and we will continue to make changes as we gain a better understanding of the new mod system. Here’s a list of all the current armor mods.
Artifice Armor Change: provides an extra +3 to whatever stat you want this should help you reach these stat goals.
Artifact Change: The artifact no longer provides mods instead it reduces the costs of some of the mods and provides passives as you level up and unlock them. Season 20 Artifact.
