How to play Hogwarts Legacy early access?
Early access for the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy RPG allows players to start the game on 7th February. All you need to do is pre-order the Hogwarts Legacy: Deluxe Edition. This will give you a chance to play it 72 hours before the official release, and you’ll get a unique Hippogriff Mount. Now let’s talk about what else you can get with each edition.
How to get sorted in Hogwarts Legacy?
Each Hogwarts student proceeds through a sorting ceremony, a tradition that assigns them to one of four houses founded by four powerful wizards and witches. So far, we haven’t seen the sorting ceremony in Hogwarts Legacy, so we don’t know how it will play in the game. However, we know two methods: How to choose Hogwarts Legacy House?
Developers have already confirmed that during the sorting ceremony, players need to make a choice on what house they want to belong to. So you’ll have full control over it. However, if you would like to add a little randomness to your decision, you can determine your Hogwarts Legacy House currently. All you need to do is create an account on Wizarding World and connect it with WB Games Account. Then complete the enjoyable and short Sorting Ceremony quiz. Hogwarts Legacy Platforms and Release Dates
Developers officially set the PC release date on February 10th 2023, for PC, but for consoles, they only provided us with the list of platforms that the game will be available to play. Finally, we have all console release dates, including Switch!
The game launches on – the full list:
- February 10, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC
- April 4, 2023, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
- July 25, 2023, for Nintendo Switch
As you can see, sadly, some console users will have to wait longer until they are able to join the epic adventure in the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy Collectors Edition & Deluxe Edition
You can currently pre-order the game in one of three editions. The first is the Standard Edition, which costs $60 and comes with the Base Game, along with an Onyx Hippogriff mount. Also, Playstation users will get the Felix Felicis Potion Recipe as well as the exclusive Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest. Additionally, players who complete said quest and dungeon will get exclusive access to their own shop in Hogsmeade where they can sell items and gear at rates better than anywhere else in-game.
Secondly is the Deluxe Edition, which costs $70 and includes the base game, the Onyx Hippogriff mount, and an exciting 72 hours of early access to the game! Furthermore, PlayStation owners will get the exclusive recipe and Hogsmeade quest. The Deluxe Edition also comes with the ‘Dark Arts Pack’, which includes a Thestral mount as well as Dark Art cosmetics and a Dark Arts Battle Arena.
Lastly is the Collector’s Edition, which will cost a pretty penny at $300. This will include all of the extra digital content available in the Deluxe Edition pre-order, along with a special Kelpie Robe cosmetic for your character. But what really sets this version apart are the additional, real-life physical components you’ll receive in the mail. The game itself comes in a Steel Case, and you will also receive a Life-Size Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book Base.
