How to Get Eddie’s Peace in Fallout 4
In Fallout 4, you must first recruit companion Nick Valentine, also raise his affinity level to 750, complete the main quest Dangerous Minds, and then play through his companion quest called Long Time Coming. Furthermore, Long Time Coming is guided by Valentine’s memories of crime boss Eddie Winter, and the goal is to hunt down and end his reign of terror. Winter is found in a secure vault underneath Andrew Station, which is located in the South Boston area. However, you cannot access that vault without the help of Valentine.
Significantly, meeting Nick Valentine is part of the main story quest Unlikely Valentine. You’ll have to go to Park Street Station and fight your way into and through Vault 114 to rescue him. Afterward, you’ll need to meet up with Valentine at his Detective office in Diamond City. This will complete the quest and Valentine will officially become a companion.
Next, you will have to take some time to raise your affinity with Nick Valentine. He likes kind and heroic behaviors, so choosing these types of dialogue options while he is traveling with you is best. There are lots of quests in Diamond City that will present you with those types of options.
Even after raising Nick’s affinity high enough, you’ll still have to wait for the Dangerous Minds main quest to come along. Finally, once you have completed that, group with Nick again, and his quest Long Time Coming should trigger.
Lastly, you’ll follow him to Andrew Station, access Vault 114, and then kill Eddie Winter at the end to finally loot the pistol Eddie’s Peace.
