How to Get Overseer’s Guardian in Fallout 4
In Fallout 4, you simply have to reach Vault 81 to purchase the Overseer’s Guardian from merchant Alexis Combes in the Depot. Depending on what difficulty setting you’re using you may not want to attempt to head to Vault 81 straight away. If you’re playing in survival mode, it’s recommended that you be around levels 18-20. Consequently, on lower levels of difficulty, those recommended levels will also correspondingly drop.
You can find Vault 81 to the west of Diamond City Market. When you arrive, use your Pip-Boy to attempt to open the vault. An inhabitant of the vault will contact you. Then, Overseer Gwen McNamara will tell you that in exchange for entry, you need to bring her three fusion cores as payment. Bring the fusion cores back to Vault 81 and you will be granted access.
Inside, the Depot is fairly easy to find. Take the elevator into the vault and after exiting, you will find it through the first doorway on the right. You’ll find trader Alexis Combes inside and can then find the Overseer’s Guardian rifle in her sales inventory.

How to use Overseer’s Guardian
Overseer’s Guardian is a unique version of the combat rifle and one of the best sniper rifles in all of Fallout 4. Additionally, what’s unique about the Overseer’s Guardian is it is one of the few weapons in Fallout 4 that can be picked up in the somewhat early phase of the game, and will remain effective in the late game.
Furthermore, the Overseer Guardian comes with the Two Shot effect. This modifier does exactly what the name implies: each time you fire the gun, two projectiles are launched. Moreover, what’s great about this effect is that it does not impact your stock of ammo. However, the downside is that you will have somewhat reduced accuracy and have a chance at a much greater recoil on the rifle.
