Fallout 4 Vault 81 Possible Cricket Location

To get Spray N’ Pray in Fallout 4 you will first need to strategize a way to locate the travel merchant named Cricket, who sells this weapon. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have set times when she visits fixed locations. However, if you know the list of her possible stops then you can simply choose one of them and use the Wait mechanic. When done correctly, this will be an easy way to get her to come to you.

Here are the locations Cricket will visit in Fallout 4:

  • Diamond City
  • Bunker Hill
  • Vault 81
  • Warwick Homestead

The easiest place to wait for her is probably at Vault 81, which is west of Diamond City Market. You won’t need to go inside the vault, as Cricket will make her stop outside of it. Look for an area with a bunch of rusted-out vehicles and metal structures. There will be a cooking pot, which is where Cricket will eventually appear. Over to the west, there will be something like a small section of an RV in white and inside there is a chair.

Use that chair to sit and wait anywhere between 5-7 hours. At the end of that time, stand up and check the area outside near the cooking pot. If Cricket isn’t there yet, then sit back down and try waiting again. It may take a few times, but Cricket should eventually show up. Then, you can finally purchase the Spray N’ Pray.

How to use Spray N’ Pray

Spray N’ Pray is a unique submachine gun and one of the best rifles in all of Fallout 4. Furthermore, the Spray N’ Pray comes with the Explosive effect. This modifier does exactly what it says: each shot will deal 15 points of area-of-effect explosive damage on impact. Moreover, the explosion is sometimes enough to cause hit enemies to stubble. While this isn’t an official stun in the game, the effect is very similar.

However, the downside of this weapon can also be the AOE damage that it causes. It’s fantastic if you are at a distance and firing into a pack of enemies. But you can run into trouble if you fire into a target that is too close to your companion or other vital NPC. Furthermore, the explosion effects can even hit you, if you aren’t far enough away. Overall, this weapon is best suited to medium or long-range use, where you can let loose on multiple enemies.
