Why am I hearing footsteps? There’s no one here. Wait, am I getting hit? There’s a Zephyr on the opposing team! FragPunk has many agents that can turn invisible or teleport, but Zephyr can do both with perfection. Her kit is kind of complex and simple at the same time. However, if you are feeling nervous when playing as or against her, you can read this guide to ease your mind.
In this guide, we will explain the whole kit and playstyle of Zephyr, an assassin lancer in FragPunk.
Zephyr’s Abilities
This lancer is the perfect assassin of FragPunk thanks to her kit. She has the following abilities:
- Midnight Rambler: Enter optical cloaking mode. Only melee weapons are usable in this state. This mode deactivates upon taking damage or when firearms are used.
- Fade Away: Creates an area in which Zephyr is fully invisible during her “Midnight Rambler.” Her cloaking time is unlimited in this area but is temporarily disrupted whenever she’s attacked.
- Get Back: Deploys a dagger beacon. Reactivate the skill to teleport to it after a short delay. Using this skill will not interpret the invisibility of Midnight Rambler.
Zephyr’s Playstyle
She is generally played as the flanker, and this is a very important role in hero shooter games. Zephyr can make herself invisible to go behind enemy lines, and on top of that, she can teleport back to safety. A Zephyr player should play like this:
- Before the round starts, place Get Back in a safe location when attacking. Additionally, placing the teleport beacon in spawn is a good strategy when playing defense. This allows her to rotate quickly.
- Use Midnight Rambler to sneak past enemies, but make sure to be silent because enemies can hear footsteps. Also, keep an eye on the timer of the skill because you don’t want to be exposed.
- Zephyr’s Fade Away is generally used to take over a site and keep the enemies guessing. This skill shines the most during the attack phase when enemies have to defuse the converter.
