MMORPGs have offered personalized experiences for decades and several customization options. These games let you create characters to your liking, name them to your liking, and dress them up to your liking, heavily emphasizing the role-playing aspect. Throne and Liberty embraces this and offers several customization options, from the armor you wear and the weapon you carry down to the base appearance of your character and the name you bear.

In this guide, we shall show you how you can change your name and appearance in Throne and Liberty.

What are Appearance Change Tickets in Throne and Liberty?

Appearance Change Tickets are the only way to alter your character’s appearance after you finish designing them in the character creator and start the game. They can only be purchase in the Shop and will cost Lucent. In Throne and Liberty, Lucent is the premium currency. The only way to get Lucent is by spending real money to buy it, or by selling an in-game item of value to another player using the Auction House.

Furthermore, purchases made with Lucent are non-refundable so make sure you really want the item you are about to buy.

How to Change Your Appearance in Throne and Liberty?

Ideally, you should customize your appearance from the get-go, but circumstances change. You may want your character to have a new look. You will require a Change Appearance Ticket should you wish to alter your appearance, and this ticket costs 250 Lucent. Press F11 to open the main menu and access the shop to buy the ticket. You can also obtain the ticket from the Premium Battle Pass at Level 20 (which costs 500 Lucent).

So, be prepared to shell out money to change your appearance. You can’t change your appearance right at the beginning. You can unlock the ability to do so after reaching Kastleton. So, if you’ve botched your customization at the start and confirmed your appearance, do not worry as you’ll reach Kastleton very soon.

You will unlock the Mirror Boutique once you reach Kastleton, and you can use this to alter your appearance. Press F11 to access the main menu and click on Mirror Boutique in the very first row of options. This will take you to a menu where you can change character appearance, outfit, weapon appearance, emotes, and profile settings.

Click on Change Appearance, and you will be taken to the customization screen. Click on Change Appearance at the bottom to confirm your changes. This will use up a Change Appearance Ticket.

How to Change Your Name in Throne and Liberty?

You can change your name if you possess a Rename Scroll. The Rename Scroll can be purchased for 500 Lucent from the in-game shop. Press F11 to open the main menu and access the shop and purchase the ticket. With a Rename Scroll in hand, simply head to the Character Info page and click on the pen icon on the upper left corner to change your name and confirm.

What Can You Change About Your Character?

In Throne and Liberty, any Appearance Change Ticket will let you change your character’s visual appearance entirely. Essentially, using an Appearance Change Ticket will take you back to the character creator. You will have access to all of the original sliders, hairstyles, makeup, markings, and colors that you did originally. Visually, you can entirely remake your character in Throne and Liberty by using this one item.

However, if you want to change their name then you will need the separate Rename Scroll item. Given that this item is actually more expensive, you should make sure that the name you want is actually available on your server first. Otherwise, there is no reason to get and use this scroll.
