Throne and Liberty is filled with mysteries and secrets, and Taedal’s Tower is a secret dungeon you can visit if you interact with a certain painting in the Starlight Observatory Ruins. You will be teleported to the mysterious 20-floor-high secret dungeon where powerful bosses await you.
Required Level for Facing Scorpos
To battle a boss on a specific floor, first defeat the boss on the preceding floor and reach a certain level. To face Floor 12 boss Scorpos, you must have defeated the Floor 11 boss Roaring Avolos Umbramancer and achieved at least Level 37.
Defeating Floor 12 Scorpos in Throne and Liberty
Floor 12 Answers in the Sand boss Scorpos is not as difficult as other bosses. As soon as you enter the arena, you may notice that the complete setup is changed into a sand area. Every boss battle starts after you initiate an attack. When you enter the arena, you can see Tower Explosion Scorpion instead of Scorpos. Bringing the Boss Scorpos to the surface requires some effort.
Scorpos Attack Patterns
One key mechanism to understand for this battle is that Scorpos will remain hidden most of the time. Make it come to the surface to fight it. Luring the Tower Scorpions and Tower Explosion Scorpions into the sand whirl brings the Boss Tower Crystal scorpion, aka Scorpos, to the surface.
- The Scorpos launches a projectile toward you from its tail. Try not to get hit by that as it makes you stunned and vulnerable. You can also perfectly block the attack by timing the purple circle correctly.
- It makes a rapid spin that creates a whirl of sandstorm around it. Maintain a safe distance from Scorpos when it performs this attack.
- It burrows into the ground and launches a sudden attack by emerging from the underground. You can avoid it by watching out for the yellow circle mark on the ground, where the Scorpos reappears.
The Scorpos burrows and summons Tower Scorpions and Tower Explosion Scorpions. It creates three sand lines which form whirls on the ground. You can spot the sand line, where the boss hides, with the purple particles floating around it. Follow that line and lead the Tower Scorpions and Tower Explosion Scorpions into the whirls.
Luring them into the correct whirl brings the Scorpos to the surface in a stunned state, whereas luring them into the wrong whirl makes the Scorpos pop up into the surface and unleash an attack that covers the entire arena. Of course, the wise choice is to lure the Tower Scorpions and Tower Explosion Scorpions into the whirl instead of attacking and defeating them.

Best Weapons to Use Against Scorpos in Throne and Liberty Taedal’s Tower
Using Ranged Weapons like a Crossbow, Long Crossbow, or Staff is the best option against Scorpos. Since the deadly rapid spin is one of the boss’ dangerous attacks, you can entirely avoid it by using ranged weapons.
Keeping a distance from Scorpos and attacking it with ranged weapons make the fight easier. Watch out for the yellow circle on the ground when it is reappearing. Try to avoid staying in the zone. If you follow the lines and whirl mechanics properly, the battle will turn in your favor in no time.

It’s not all three scorpions, the only one that matters is the one explosive scorpion. You have to be very fast because if it explodes you start over.
