The Old Wizard’s Eye is a hideous monstrosity you fight on Floor 14 of Taedal’s Tower in Throne and Liberty.
Throne and Liberty has plenty of enemies and dungeons that routinely put your skills to the test, but no dungeon does it quite like Taedal’s Tower. This 20-floor-tall monument is a skill-check gauntlet for even the most forged warriors of Solisium. What makes it even more challenging is the rising difficulty as you progress. The Old Wizard’s Eye on Floor 14 encompasses this difficulty spike no other. With its unique shape and body, the boss comes as a curveball to many.
This guide goes over the minimum level required to face the Old Wizard’s Eye, the recommended weapon, the skills you can use, and the reward for trumping the boss.
Required Level for Facing Old Wizard’s Eye
The Old Wizard’s Eye is found on Floor 14—Out of Sight—in the Taedal’s Tower. The boss is higher up in the tower and requires you to be Level 39 at the minimum to take on the boss.
Defeating Floor 14 Old Wizard’s Eye in Throne and Liberty
The Old Wizard’s Eye is found late in Taedal’s Tower and naturally requires you to perform at a higher skill level to beat. To beat the Eye, memorize its attack patterns and perform perfect blocks to have a chance.
The boss has various beam attacks. These are practically impossible to dodge, so don’t even bother trying. Instead, practice the attack timings and perfect block the attacks. Keep track of the arena as the boss has an arena attack where circles light up beneath you. Stay out of these circles to stay safe.
The boss also has a (frustrating) one-hit kill attack that you should be on the lookout for. The Eye telegraphs this attack with a red AoE marker. When you see the queue, move out of the way immediately, or you risk getting one-shotted.
Best Abilities to Use Against Old Wizard’s Eye
We recommend using the Precision Dash active skill. This is a Greatsword skill that helps close the gap between you and the enemy fast and deals damage based on the distance covered. Use this to rush to the boss for a high-damage blow. You can also use the DaVinci’s Courage passive Greatsword skill to boost max health, health regen, and attack speed.
Best Weapons to Use Against Old Wizard’s Eye
Use the Greatsword against the boss to deal large chunks of damage. The boss has several AoE attacks that will give you no breathing room. So run around and toward the boss to deal high damage and win the fight.
