In Throne and Liberty, players can gather resources by approaching them and pressing the interaction button.
Gathering and crafting are essential in MMORPGs with a massive open-world setting. NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty is not an exception, and both mechanisms are quite easy to learn. If you have found any resource node on the map or the mini-map, approach it and press the interaction button to trigger the gathering animation. Do note that you will stop gathering if you are attacked by an enemy or run out of space in your inventory.
Here is an overview of the interaction buttons you should use to gather resources:
- PC – F
- PlayStation – Square
- Xbox – X
Various Gathering Nodes in Throne and Liberty
There are three types of gathering nodes in Throne and Liberty, namely:
- Ore Gathering Nodes
- Flower Gathering Nodes
- Tree Gathering Nodes
Each of them rewards players with different resources. So, it is essential for new Throne and Liberty players to understand how gathering works and the differences between these nodes.
The Ore Gathering Nodes offer different forms of Moonstone and Marind Ore. This is also referred to as Mining. Flower Gathering Nodes provide resources like Herbs, Wildflowers, and Mushrooms. Tree Gathering Nodes reward players with resources like Star Tree and Fruit Star Trees (these appear only when it is raining).
These resources are essential for players to craft and upgrade their weapons and gears. They can also be used for other purposes like cooking.
It is also worth noting that the resource nodes are for one-time-use. They can be gathered only once by the player who gets to them first. However, they do respawn somewhere nearby, just not at the same spot. Since these nodes are procedural, they have a high probability of spawning near monster-prone zones.
Other Ways to Gather Resources in Throne and Liberty
Mining, logging, and gathering are great ways to get resources in Throne and Liberty. But, players can also get resources when they eliminate enemies. Defeating foes grants resources like Leather, Salt, and Magithread. Completing Dungeons and Events also gifts some special and rare resources.
