To get the Absolute’s Talisman in BG3 you need to make your way to the Goblin Camp and into the Shattered Sanctum, where you must find and kill the goblin leader Priestess Gut.
Step 1 – How to Reach the Shattered Sanctum
To reach the Shattered Sanctum in BG3 you must first find the Goblin Camp on the west side of the Act 1 map. Across the bridge is a main gate that is guarded by a group of goblins. You can try to talk your way past them or fight. Even if you end up having to kill them, once you are inside the camp, no other goblins are automatically suspicious of you. However, you’ll have to be careful of your actions because they can become hostile.
Once past the gate, turn right and head north into the temple courtyard. Go straight through the feasting goblins and find the double doors into the former temple. Inside you’ll be challenged by more guards again. However, you should be able to easily talk your way past them.
Step 2 – Best Way to Kill Priestess Gut
You have to kill Priestess Gut, one of the goblin leaders, in order to loot the Absolute’s Talisman in Baldur’s Gate 3. She’ll be very easy to find after you are inside. Just go straight ahead and she will be in the middle of the open sanctuary space. Speak to her and she will immediately offer to place the brand/mark of the Absolute on you. If you want to take full advantage of wearing the Talisman, then agree.
Even if you refuse, keep talking to her and ask to converse privately. She will agree, and then you can follow her to the left/west into her private study area. After you and your party are inside, shut the door behind you. This will keep you from drawing aggro on the other goblins. Now you can attack Priestess Gut without interference. It’s four vs. one, so this should be an easy fight. Finally, you can loot the Absolute’s Talisman from her.
How to Use the Absolute’s Talisman in BG3?
The best way to use the Absolute’s Talisman in Baldur’s Gate 3 is by equipping it to your character if they have the brand of the Absolute on them. Having the brand is the only way to get the Absolute’s Mercy bonus trait. This trait will give you an Advantage on Death Saving Throws. Consequently, you will have a better chance of remaining Downed, a condition where your companions can more easily heal you.
