How to Get Ammonia Gland in Enshrouded
To get Ammonia Gland in Enshrouded you will need to have access to the Kindlewaste area. Within the Kindlewastes, the northern edge of Umber Hollow is the best area to farm these. To access the Kindlewastes region, you will first need to Strengthen your Flame Altar to Level 4. Afterward, you can get to the farming spot by going directly south and a little west from the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire.
If you’ve already completed that spire and unlocked the fast travel there, it will be easy to get to. Once you’re at the top of the tower, look down towards the southwest and you should see the shrouded area. You can jump down and easily get there with your glider. The spot you are looking for is right on the outside edge of that.
Ammonia glands in Enshrouded come from killing and collecting parts from these massive red creatures that look like mushrooms. They only live in the Shroud, so when farming them you’ll need to be aware of your shroud timer. Be careful, because they will attack you aggressively. Additionally, once you’ve one killed it will leave a poison circle on the ground. So either wait for that to dissipate or heal through it.
Each kill will give you between 3-5 ammonia glands. Moreover, you can increase your yield by making a circuit and then repeating it later on. You can do so by logging out to reset enemies or rest for a day
What is Ammonia Gland, and what is it used for?
Ammonia glands in Enshrouded “contain a concentrate substance which can be used to tan furs.” They are vital in creating leather, which you can do at a Tanning Station. You can then use leather pieces to create padding, which in turn helps upgrade your armor.
Leather and padding are some of the best materials in the game. You will need plenty of them at max level to craft Level 23 Barbarian, Wizard, or Ranger armor sets. Any of these builds seeking to craft end-game armor will be regularly using the Tanning station, which requires leather, fabric, resin, and linen to craft.
