How to Get Luminous Growth in Enshrouded
To get Luminous Growth in Enshrouded you will need to have access to the Revelwood area. Once you have access to the region the best area to farm luminous growth can be found in a cave to the south of the Revelwood Ancient Spire. In order to access this region, you will need to Strengthen your Flame Altar to Level 3.
If you’ve unlocked the Revelwood Ancient Spire, then finding the cave that is the best place to farm Luminous Growth will be straightforward. First, fast travel to the Revelwood Ancient Spire. Second, use your glider to head directly south. There, at the edge of a cliff you should be able to see the blue glow from the cave entrance.
While Luminous Growth isn’t a metal, you will still need a pick axe in order to harvest it. Moreover, remember that the better quality tool you have, the faster you will be able to gather materials.
Additionally, when mining copper ore in Enshrouded you can also use Skill Points to unlock an ability called Mason (2 points). With this skill active, your pick axe will deal 30% more damage against stone and resource veins.
Moreover, when you’re mining with a pick axe you’ll be using up a lot of your Stamina wheel. Therefore, bringing along food like honey or other consumables with stamina regeneration or endurance is advised. This will help maximize the speed of gathering and the amount of materials you can collect in a run.
Finally, if you unlock the Miner skill (4 points), it will grant you a 10% chance to get more resources when mining.
What is Luminous Growth, and what is it used for?
In Enshrouded, Luminous Growth is described as a moody light source often found in or around caves. It is not a consumable and cannot be used to create any weapons or armor. However, you can use it to Luminescent Blocks for creating shelter in your base. As described, the blue walls give off a very eerie, ethereal blue glow and could be used to create some very unique building spaces.
In order to craft Luminescent Blocks you will need:
- 5 Stone
- 5 Luminous Growth
Additionally, you can also use Luminous Growth to craft various types of light fixtures for your shelter. Chandeliers, Lanterns, and Wall Lanterns can all be made with Luminous Growth, Iron Bars, Glass and more.
Here are the crafting recipes for Enshrouded Luminous Growth light fixtures:
- Lantern: 4 Iron Bars, 4 Charcoal, 2 Glass, 2 Sandstone, 2 Luminous Growth
- Wall Lantern: 1 Iron Bar, 2 Charcoal, 2 Glass, 2 Goo, 2 Luminous Growth
