The Ring of Shadows grants access to a Stealth spell, and you can find it during Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

In Baldur’s Gate 3 the Ring of Shadows would be a helpful accessory for a stealth based class such as Rogues or Rangers. It grants you access to the Pass Without Trace spell, which you can cast once per Long Rest. This Level 2 Abjuration Spell allows the caster to grant themselves and nearby allies in a 9 meter range a bonus to Stealth Checks.
Specifically, this grants a +10 bonus to all Stealth Checks and it will last for as long as the caster keeps their Concentration.

How to Get Ring of Shadows in Baldur’s Gate 3
To get the Ring of Shadows in Baldur’s Gate 3 you will need to discover Oliver at the House With Flowers in Act 2, and play a game of Hide and Seek with him. Oliver is located within the Ruined Battlefield, ‘living’ within a broken down house just to the north of the Shadowed Battlefield waypoint. Head inside the house and you will find Oliver, a strange fae child who is looking for a playmate.
Interact with Oliver and he will ask you to play a game of Hide and Seek. Agree to play and you can pretty easily find hiding behind a cart out in front of the house for this first round. Oliver will be upset you found him so quickly, but suggest that you play again. Round Two will add in the difficulty of avoiding his shadowy ‘family’, including a Mum, Dad, and Dog. If any of them spot you, you will have to fight them. However, this won’t prevent you from receiving the reward from Oliver. He will give you the Ring of Shadows whether you win or get ‘second place.”
