Sylvan Scimitar
Sylvan Scimitar is an uncommon One-Handed Scimitar wielded by Jaheira in Acts 2 and 3. It’s a finesse weapon with decent damage and two special bonuses.
The Melee Caster bonus in Baldur’s Gate 3 turns Sylvan Scimitar’s melee attacks magical, using the wielder’s Spellcasting Ability Modifier for accuracy and damage instead of Dexterity Modifier. Ideal for characters blending melee combat and spellcasting. The weapon description only mentions Attack rolls, but the bonus also affects the Damage Rolls.
You can equip it to your character’s main hand weapon slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. The user needs Martial Weapon proficiency or suffers penalties while wearing the weapon.

How to Get Sylvan Scimitar in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can get Sylvan Scimitar from Jaheira, and you must either kill her and loot the weapon or attempt to steal it. Players meet Jaheira for the first time in Act 2 in Last Light Inn on the central north side of the map. She then becomes an ally and can even join your party and become a companion after Act 2.
Jaheira wields two Scimitars. If you want to stay on good terms with her and still get the weapon, we advise you to attempt to steal the weapon from her. The best opportunity is when she joins your team and you get access to her inventory; she will have Sylvan Scimitar equipped in her right hand.
If you decide to kill her, you can loot the weapon from her body.
