The Jolty Vest is medium armour, and you can get it from Brem, the vendor in Act 1, in Baldur’s Gate 3 – this short Guide Explains everything you need to know about The Jolty Vest in BG3.
The Jolty Vest
In Baldur’s Gate 3, The Jolty Vest is medium armour from Brem, the vendor in Act 1. It provides a small amount of protection against Slashing-type attacks. Also, when you’re wearing an item with “Countershock,” and you have Lightning Charges (typically generated by certain weapons), if you take damage from an attacker, that attacker must make a Dexterity Saving Throw. If they fail the saving throw, they will become “Shocked.” Being “Shocked” is a condition that means they cannot take reactions and has a Disadvantage on Ability Checks and Saving Throws using Dexterity. This effect punishes attackers who harm you while you have Lightning Charges by potentially applying them to the “Shocked” condition.
You can equip it to your character’s chest slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. The user needs Medium Armour proficiency or suffers penalties while wearing the armour. You can equip it on any class, companion, or character that has Madium Armour proficiency.
