Baldur's Gate 3 The Oak Father's Embrace

The Oak Father’s Embrace

In Baldur’s Gate 3, The Oak Father’s Embrace is a decent early game Medium Armour that would be most appropriate for a non-heavy armour wearing Cleric. Its bonus is tied to causing undead and beasts to take damage when they attack whomever has this armor equipped. This will get some moderate use within Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate as you will encounter creatures and skeletons in the forests and ruins you find while traveling across the map. It will have limited applicability for potential fights within the Druid Grove, Blighted Village or Goblin Camp, beyond it’s basic level of Armor Class, however.

Here are all The Oak Father’s Embrace features in BG3:

  • Armor: Chest Piece
  • Armour Class: 13 AC
  • Rarity: Uncommon
  • Proficiency Requirement: Medium Armour Proficiency
  • Weight: 5.4 kg
  • Value: 130

  • Companions Who Can Use This Armour: Karlach, Shadowheart, Lae’zel, Minthara

How to Get The Oak Father’s Embrace in Baldur’s Gate 3

You can find The Oak Father’s Embrace at the Owlbear Nest in the Owl bear cave. The entrance to the Cave is located to the northeast of the Blighted Village, near the river. Be cautious when you first enter, for the large and protective mother owlbear will not like you getting too close to the nest. Unfortunately, the Headless Skeleton you can loot The Oak Father’s Embrace from is right behind it.

You can choose to either kill the mother Owlbear yourself, or you can leave and come back later to find her dead at the hands of some goblins. Either way will clear your path to the Headless Skeleton.
