The Selunite Outpost is one of the early game outposts you encounter in Baldur’s Gate 3. Located in the Underdark, it fends off all intruders through magic and often proves to be a hurdle. In this guide, we shall go over how you can find the Selunite Outpost and get past the magic statues.

Where is the Selunite Outpost in Baldur’s Gate 3?

The Selunite Outpost lies in the southeastern part of the Underdark. You will come across it in Act 1 of the game. To get to the Outpost, you have to pass through the Defiled Temple. Enter through the temple door and pass through the gate on the east. Walk straight and take the left before the sunlit statue.

You will enter a hall with a puzzle at the center. Here, you have to rotate tiles and place them in a certain manner to unlock the gate. If you look carefully, each of the tiles has a black circle; one of the tiles has sunlight falling on it, while the rest are under shadow. To solve the puzzle, bring all the black circles on the sunlit tile. This will open up a passageway on the north end of the hall.

Pass through the gate and head down a flight of stairs and then a ladder to arrive at the Selunite Outpost.

There will be a portcullis ahead of you, and above it you will see a platform. A ladder on the right leads to the platform. Go to the platform and face the Moonstone statue. Attack it to shatter it and disable the trap. Drop down and pull the lever near the portcullis to open the gate. This will give you free access in and out of the outpost.

If you happened to arrive at the Outpost from the other end of the Underdark, instead of via the Defiled temple, you will find yourself on the other end of the gate. You can then approach the gate and bypass the trap using stealth. Then, sneak up to the gate and lockpick it using Sleight of Hand to pass through. Then, do the same as above to disable the trap.
