Wood Woad Shield - Baldur’s Gate 3

The Wood Woad Shield

In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Wood Woad Shield provides a + 2 Armour class (AC) and offers a fantastic crowd-control spell. Woad’s ensnaring snare is a great way to debuff the most challenging enemy on the battlefield and ensnare them, giving them a disadvantage on attack rolls and dexterity saving throws. You’ll make them less dangerous and defeat much easier. This opens up fantastic strategies for your group. Additionally, this shield’s defensive and offensive capabilities make it suitable for any class that wields a shield but will work best in synergy with a cleric, fighter, druid, or paladin.

You can equip it to your character’s off-hand weapon slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. The user needs Shield proficiency or suffers penalties while wearing the shield. You can equip it on any class, companion, or character that has Shield proficiency.
