Shears in Minecraft are used for various purposes, including harvesting some rare items. Here’s how you can craft it.

In Minecraft, the players are provided with various ways to increase their survivability. Using Shears, a scissor-like pair of blades, can help you retrieve some unique stuff, including vines and honeycombs.
The Shears can be easily crafted with the right items, but they require some foraging. Want to know how to craft it? This guide will break down the steps to create Shears in detail.
Making Shears in Minecraft

To craft shears in Minecraft, you will need two Iron Ingots. The Iron Ingots can be easily discovered in a cave or a ravine in the lower parts. While Copper and Coal can be found in the upper levels, Iron ores are a little above Diamond’s level.
You can take the Iron ore and smelt it in either a furnace or a blast furnace to produce Iron Ingots. Once you have them, you can head to the crafting table and place them diagonally to craft Shears. Now, you can put it in your inventory by dragging the crafted item from the output box.
A reminder—Shears have quite low durability, so make sure to craft additional pieces as backup if you’re stuck in a remote location.
What Are Its Uses?
Shears have numerous and significant uses in Minecraft. One of the most prominent of them is to separate the Sheep’s wool from the body, without killing it. You will get two or three wool blocks per one Shear use, depending on their color, allowing you to craft a bed without hurting an animal.
Additionally, you can shear a Mooshroom to cut off mushrooms from its body, which you can later cook or use to craft your desired item. Similarly, you can cut off a beehive to get 1-3 honeycomb pieces and craft honey. However, if you try to shear down the Beehive without using a campfire to lure the bees away, the bees will attack you.
