Upgrade your gear in Throne and Liberty to be a powerful player who can defeat enemies quickly. Gear upgrading will let you clear higher-difficulty gameplay as it is a crucial part of character progression in the game. Weapons, Armor, and Accessories are gear pieces you can upgrade to succeed in the game faster.
Enhance the stats of your items by upgrading your gear in Throne and Liberty. Collect all the Growthstones to Upgrade your gear pieces. In Throne and Liberty, the endgame depends on upgrading the crafted gear pieces to their maximum level. You can also refer to Equipment Upgrading as Leveling Up your Equipment or Gear Enchanting.
How to Upgrade Gear in Throne & Liberty
Use a Growthstone in Throne and Liberty to upgrade your equipment in Throne and Liberty. Upgrading your equipment is straightforward as leveling up your equipment revolves around the Growthsotnes. Growthstones are divided into three following categories.
- Weapon Growthstoness
- Armor Growthstones
- Accessories Growthstones
You need Blue Weapon Growthstones to upgrade a Rare (Blue) Weapon. More Growthstones are used to upgrade the higher the level of the gear. Gear Enchanting is a risk-free process as there’s no chance of failure. Upgrade your gear by using the right Growthstones. Get a Quality Growthstone to upgrade a quality gear and use a Rare Growthstone to upgrade the rare gear in the game. You can upgrade the items multiple times depending upon the rarity of that item.
Open the main menu and select the Equipment Enchanting option. The equipment Level Up tab will pop up on the screen. Select the item from your inventory to upgrade to its next higher level. The preview effects of the upgrade to that item will be visible on the screen. While upgrading your equipment there is also an RNG effect.
When you use Growthstone to upgrade the item then a partial process to the next high level will also begin. So, you are required to use the Growthstones several times to upgrade the gear by one level. The quantity of Growthstones that is used for upgrading the item is proportional to the current item level. You need 1xGrowthstone to upgrade the gear for the first time. Each time you upgrade the gear, more Growthstones are consumed for the next upgrade of that gear.
How to Get Growthstones in Throne and Liberty
The best way to get Growthstone in Throne and Liberty is by completing codex entries as part of the main quest or completing Daily Contracts. In Throne and Liberty, farming the Growthstone is one of your main daily activities to upgrade your gear and become a powerful character. There are a few different ways to obtain the Growthstones for the Armor & Weapons listed below
- Equip Lithograph Book
- Complete Daily Contracts
- Hunting objectives
- Growthstone Combining and Dissolving
- Use Ore and Polished Crystals to craft the Growthstone at the crafter
- Taedal’s Tower Floors
- Drops from enemies
Merge the Growthstones of the same quality to upgrade that Growthstone into a high-quality Growthstone. For example, merge the rare quality Growthstones to obtain an Epic quality Growthstone in the game. The Ores that you can use to craft the Growthstone by interacting with the suitable crafter are:
- Stalon
- Rubrix
- Emeret
Fulfill the contracts in Throne and Liberty to gain these Ores. However, you can also gain them by purchasing them from a Contract Coin Merchant or defeating the bosses in Open World Dungeons. Gather random drops from Mystic Globes or complete the Codex to get these Ores as rewards.
Quality Weapon Growthstone
Obtain the Quality Weapon Growthstones by defeating the Queen Bellandir Archboss. A Quality Weapon Growthstone is a weapon upgrade material that is used for uncommon weapon upgrades. Earn these Quality Weapon Growthstones from Malakar, Adentus, Chernobog, and Ahzreil bosses. Combine Quality Rubrix, Quality Polished Crystal, and Quality Magic Powder to craft Quality Weapon Growthstones at a Weapon Crafting vendor in the game.
To craft the Quality Weapon Growthstone you need to follow the following required steps.
- Combine 5 Magic Powder to Craft Quality Magic Powder
- Get the Quality Rubrix by purchasing it from the Contract Coin Merchants or mining Immaculate Moonstones.
- Get the Quality Polished Crystal in Throne and Liberty from Queen Blood Spider, Quillix and Terror Birds, Wolves, and Goblins Desert Cobra.
- Interact with the Crafting vendor to craft the Quality weapon Growthstone by using the above-mentioned materials.
Rare Weapon Growthstone
To get by defeating the Queen Bellandir Archboss. Earn these Quality Weapon Growthstones from Malakar, Adentus, Chernobog, and Ahzreil bosses. You can also obtain them by using 5 Quality Weapon Growthstones by interacting with the Weapon Crafting Vendor in the game. However, if you don’t have 5 Quality Weapon Growthstones in your inventory then you can use the following materials to craft the Rare Weapon Growthstone.
- Rare Magic Powder x2
- Rare Rubrix x1
- Rare Polished Crystal x1
Combine 5 Quality Magic Powder at a Weapon Crafting Vendor to craft a Rare Magic Powder. You can obtain the Rare Rubrix by collecting it from Abyssal Contracts, and Immaculate Moonstones, or craft them by combining 5 Quality Rubrix. Use 5 Quality Polished Crystals to craft the Rare Polished Crystal.
The Rare Polished Crystal also drops from enemies at level 42 or above. Complete the Secret Dungeon bosses, Abyssal Contracts, and clear Tevent Archbosses to get the rare polished crystal. Use all of these materials to craft the rare weapon Growthstone at the suitable crafter.
Precious Weapon Growthstone
To get Precious Weapon Growthstones in Throne and Liberty, complete Taedal’s Tower (Floor 10-20) or by accomplishing Lithograph Book entries. Precious Weapon Growthstone is a weapon upgrade material used for Epic weapon upgrades. Move into the Stonegard Castle and interact with the Senior Weapon Crafter to combine Rare Weapon 5xGrowthstones to craft the Precious Weapon Growthstone.
You can also craft the Precious Weapon Growthstone by using the following materials.
- Precious Magic Powder x2
- Precious Rubrix x1
- Precious Polished Crystal x 1
Combine 5xRare Magic Powder to craft the Precious Magic Powder and then collect the Precious Rubrix from Abyssal Contracts by defeating level 50 enemies. You can also gain them using 5xRare Rubrix. Precious Polished Crystal is obtained by defeating level 50 enemies or you can also combine 5xRare Polished Crystals to get Precious Polished Crystal.
Quality Armor Growthstone
You can gain the Quality Armor Growthstone by looting it from the Tevent Archboss, Kowazan, Lycan Kowazan, Excavator-9, Minzerok, Grand Aelon, and Junobote. Quality Armor Growthstone is an armor growth material used for uncommon armor upgrades. You can also craft the Quality Armor Growthstone by using the following materials at the Armor Crafting Vendor.
- Quality Stalon
- Quality Magic Powder
- Quality Polished Crystal
Combine 5xMagic Powder to craft the Quality Magic Powder. Get the Quality Stalon from Abyssal Contract enemies’ level 20 or above and Immaculate Moonstone level 24 or above. Gain the Polished Crystal from Wolves, Goblins, Queen Blood Spider, Quillix, and Terror Birds.
Rare Armor Growthstone
You can gain the Quality Armor Growthstone by looting it from the Tevent Archboss, Kowazan, Lycan Kowazan, Excavator-9, Minzerok, Grand Aelon, and Junobote. A Rare Armor Growthstone in Throne and Liberty is good for rare armor upgrades. Use 5x Quality Armour Growthstones to craft the Rare Armor Growthstone at the Crafting Vendor. Use the Rare Stalon, Rare Magic Powder, and Rare Polished Crystal to craft the Rare Armor Growthstone at Crafting Vendor.
Interact with the Crafting Vendor to craft the Rare Magic Powder by using the 5x Quality Magic Powder. Obtain the Rare Polished Crystal by using 5xQuality Polished Crystals. Complete the Secret Dungeon bosses, and Abyssal Contracts, and clear the Tevent Archbosses to get the Rare Polished Crystal as the enemies will drop them when you defeat them.
Precious Armor Growthstone
You obtain the precious Armor Growthstone by fulfilling the Lithograph Book entries and Taedal’s Tower (Floor 10-20). A Precious Armor Growthstone in Throne and Liberty is best for Epic Armor upgrades. Move to Stonegard Castle and use 5x Rare Armour Growthstones to craft the Precious Armor Growthstone at the Senior Armour Crafting Vendor. Instead of using the 5xRare Armour Growthstones to craft the Precious Armor Growthstone, you can also utilize the Precious Stalon, Precious Magic Powder, and Precious Polished Crystal.
Use 5xRare Magic Powder to craft the Precious Magic Powder. Clear Abyssal Contract enemies (Level 50) and Mystic Globes to obtain the Precious Stalon. However, you can also use the 5xRare Stalon to craft the Precious Stalon. Defeat Level 50 enemies, Tevent and Queen Bellandir to achieve the Precious Polished Crystal. You can also get them using the 5xRare Polished Crystals.
How to Get Accessory Growthstones in Throne & Liberty
A Quality accessory Growthstone is an accessory Growth material that is good for uncommon accessory upgrades. Defeat the Aridus, Morokai, and Talus bosses to obtain the Quality Accessory Growthstone. You can also obtain them from Tevent Archbosses and Queen Bellandir. However, you can also craft the Quality Accessory Growthstone by crafting at the Crafting Vendor. Gain the Quality Emeret, Quality Magic Powder, and Quality Polished Crystal in the game to craft the Quality Accessory Growthstone.
Use the 5xMagic Powder to craft the Quality Magic Powder. Clear the Abyssal Contract Enemies to gain the Quality Emeret or you can achieve them by defeating archbosses and collecting them from Immaculate Moonstone. You can get a Quality Polished Crystal by defeating several enemies in the game.

Gear Merging
In Throne and Liberty, some of the unpopular weapons are granted with Growth Materials and Growth Merging is a system that aids it. For example, you can merge unpopular Longbow+3 into a Rare Greatsword that will upgrade the Greatsword’s level. This makes it less stressful to invest in Growth Materials in Armor and Weapons, as you won’t regret your choices as much in the long run, and it also makes switching builds easier.
- Blue (Rare) Level 9 into Purple (Epic Tier 1) Level 6
- Green (uncommon) Level 6 into Blue (Rare) Level 3
- Purple Tier 1 Level 9 into Purple Tier 2 Level 3
You can upgrade the Tier 2 piece to Level 7 by 40% by yourself when shifting between Tier 1 and Tier 2 purple (Epic) gear. To make it to level 9, you can insert your Tier 1 gear into the tier 2 piece of gear.
Upgrading Skills
Throne and Liberty allow the players to upgrade their skills in level and quality as well. Uncommon is the initial stage of every skill in the game. The skills that need to be upgraded are denoted by the upward arrow symbol. Players can check their grade and skill level from the skill number and colored crystal available on the bottom right of the icon. Find Active or Passive Skill Growth Books to level up your skills in the game. Just simply acquire these books to upgrade your skill with a simple click option.
Skill Conversion
Throne and Liberty offers a system that allows you to switch experience from one skill to another skill in the game. For skill conversion in the game, you need to equip a Skill Conversion Book. You need the same Level Unlock requirement to change these skills.
For example, you can swap Precision Dash on Greatsword to the Zephyr Nock on Longbow. You need to consume 1000 Sollant to get the first 10 Skill Conversion Books in the game. A skill conversion book is good for exchanging skill growth values. Use 240 Lucent to obtain the Skill Conversion Book after buying 10 skill conversion books for the first time.
Upgrade your gear in Throne and Liberty to enhance the stats of your item. Find the Weapon Growthstones, Armor Growthstones, and Accessory Growthstones to upgrade your gears in the game.
