In this quest, you are tasked with freeing a criminal named Dry Devil while he is being transported by soldiers. Ways To Find Matthew in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 focuses heavily on realism. Additionally, your interaction with NPCs can alter the course of the game and the missions as well. Therefore, there are two ways by which you can encounter Matthew.
The first way of encountering Matthew is by getting ambushed by him and his men on the western road of Miskowitz. Moreover, encountering him this way does not let you talk to him and directly starts a battle in which you have to defeat him.
The other way is by following the marker given by Kubyenka, which leads you to the Bailiff of Miskowitz. He informs you about Matthew, who has been stealing from innocent people and robbing them on the road between Miskowitz and Suchdol. Doing the quest this way lets you start a conversation with Matthew when you meet him.
Convincing Matthew To Join Back Devil’s Pack
Talking to Matthew starts a conversation in which he talks about how he has been living his life robbing people and calls himself a “Collector for the King.” Furthermore, if you ask him to join back Devil’s Pack, he will deny it, saying he prefers his current life and refuses to go back.
After doing so, he will demand 1,000 Groschen to let you leave. Accepting to give the money simply makes him and his men leave, and you lose 1,000 Groschen. Refusing to give the money results in a fight between Henry and Matthew along with his men. Nonetheless, Matthew does not join the Devil’s Pack, which ends his section of the main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
